Resident Evil: Deadly Silence
Resident Evil: Deadly Silence
Is RE:DS a portable version of REmake? Or is it a port of the original Resident Evil with a few upgrades? Also, more importantly, does RE:DS have Crimson Heads?

The short answer is it's a port of the original version, not the remake. And it has a second mode that uses more DS features, but is still based on the original. So expect some hilariously bad voice acting.

If you've played any other version of RE1, you're not missing out.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Well you see I'm a big fan of adventure games. A slow puzzle-based story driven adventure is my second favourite genre of video game. I also really like fast paced third/first person shooters with lots of explosions and flying bodies. The problem I'm having with REmake is that it's a slow paced game based around puzzles and(partial) exploration, but they also expect you to do a lot of fighting. For some reason my feeble mind just can't cope that well with the strange fusion of the two. This is made especially hard with the REmake due to the Crimson Heads possibly lurking around every corner. It's become such a frustration that I'm selling my copy of REmake to a friend for $15. However, I'm wondering if Deadly Silence is worth getting. Without the Crimson Heads and with the many changes they made from the original it seems like I would be able to get through it. I'm just not completely sure though.Haoie wrote:If you've played any other version of RE1, you're not missing out.
