So I have this thing here
I have no clue what it does and when I put it in my N64 it bends the pins. The system still works fine when I bent the pins back, they look a bit off, but it seems to be working fine. How can I be sure it didn't harm the system?
Does anyone know what this thing actually does? One guy on Classic Game Room forums said it might play Super Nintendo games. The game fit in there but it didn't do anything and bent the pins again.
Please help.

no idea. That thing is bizarre.
If you are bending the pins i think it is safe to say it doesn't go in a Nintendo 64. Maybe the other end does? i have no clue.
I'm curious though. Post whatever you find out.

Will my system be okay though since I tried to bend the pins back?

Probably. As long as none of them broke off.

I used to have something similar to this for 64 as well.
Mine was a Japanese to NA game converter I got off yahoo auctions. I don't have any Japanese 64 games anymore, unfortunately so I can't check if the contacts are shaped differently. Also, if it bends the pins too access, it could just be a faulty cartridge.

I don't have any Super Famicom games so I can't try it, but that might be it.

If you prefer a prettier approach, just break the two pins that are stopping you from sticking in the superfami cart. Its quick and fairly simple.
