PS2 HD and 16:9 compatable games:

Post by RyaNtheSlayA »

Found this on wikipedia. Its good for anybody who has an HD set and wants to get the most out of their PS2. Its actually suprising how many early PS2 games support widescreen.

Huh. Great little list. That's really helpful, actually, thanks.

Are you using HDMI Ryan? I get some lag when playing PS2 games on my hd set via PS3 bc. I've read the only real way to negate it is to use cables - component or composite. Unfortunately, the PS3 can't do both at the same time, so you'd have to hook and unhook, etc. etc., which I won't do. Some people seem to think Sony could use a system update to have it where both could be hooked up at once and the PS3 would switch depending on the disc source. Not sure if that's possible but it would be nice if so. Doubt they'd ever do it though since they don't care about BC.

(And please don't tell me to get a PS2 - we've been over this!)

Nope ive never had a problem with lag playing any PS2 game over HDMI. Although, yes I know, you told me not to say it. Getting a PS2 would be the best way to play the games.

What kinds of games are you playing with that setup? I notice it most with arcade comps with games like Space Invaders and others shmups.

TV resolution plays into it too, and I have a 1080p set so it's doing a fair amount of upscaling. It's all confusing as hell.
