Suggestions for beat-em ups on MAME
Suggestions for beat-em ups on MAME
Ive been setting up a second computer for a bartop arcade cabinet Im making, and now that I figured out MAME and found the front-end that works best for me its time to get to the games! I Pretty much have the other genres covered but I only know a few beat-em ups. I already have the standard stuff like TMNT, X-Men, Simpsons, and Battle Toads( Damn the arcade is SO much cooler than NES). What else is there Im not familiar with?

Aliens vs Predator
Cadillacs & Dinosaurs
D&D:Shadow over Mystara
Armored Warriors
Just to name a few, Capcom made tons of these. And kudos for getting Battletoads. It is definitely better than the console versions

I forgot about Battle Circuit. Great recommendation there. I'll also second Golden Axe. It's short and simple, making it one of the most accessible beat'em ups ever and it's still unique to this day with the beast riding and some of the coolest magic attacks ever. It's also far less cheap than most beat'em ups are.

I was messing with Raine recently, and played a really good Alien vs. Predator beat em up. I'm sure MAME will run it too.
