Are they running N64 games on Gamcubes? Or am I just wishing?

Re: Gamecube - N64
Im pretty sure they are not running N64 on gamecube, except the ports like ZElda master collection and such
Re: Gamecube - N64
a lot of the n64 games are probably becoming available for download on the wii... which is backwards compatible with the game cube... maybe thats the source of the mix up...wclem wrote:Are they running N64 games on Gamcubes? Or am I just wishing?

Are people still using their GC? I thought everybody has got a Wii by now?
If anybody is hanging onto their GC because it's modded there is no need now. Softmii has been released. It's a softmod for Wii that allows native loading of backups from the disk channel. No modchip required.

Re: Gamecube - N64
I am for one reason: I always stay one generation behind since it's infinitely cheaper. (And I have no problem waiting for gaming goodness... I already have more games than I can play.) Case in point, I just got a PS2 last Christmas. Perhaps in a couple years in the Wii's life when it becomes cheaper or the next generation comes out (whichever comes first) I'll move to the Wii. Until then, I'm rockin' the GCN.Niode wrote:Are people still using their GC? I thought everybody has got a Wii by now?
Re: Gamecube - N64
I still have the Gamecube, and similar to Ryanstein, I stay behind the curve. I DO have a 360 but I definitely am behind in my gaming. Release dates for new games mean nothing to me because I am so far behind in my gaming. I like being in this position because it keeps my hobby cheap! BTW, I am not a fan of the Wii, I find it too gimmicky. This video however blows me away, pretty cool.
I'm not sure where I found that video. I bet it was on here somewhere actually

Re: Gamecube - N64
I dont' have a Wii yet. It's a lot more expensive than I can drop right now. But I love my GC and it has a GBPlayer, which means I'm always finding awesome games on the cheap. Eventually I'll get a Wii, but the GC is a great system til then. I dont feel I'm missing out THAT much. Especially since the VC is what makes me want a Wii so much.
