we all know shits always going to change from one generation to the next. My parents where hippies, and everybody knows well what the hippies did. same goes for the hippies parents, the WWII veterans, they had their time, and ours will be no different i'm sure.
What i'm getting at is this...
How many people do you know that have made fun of hippies for being dopers and what not, endless sex, drugs and rock and roll, unlimited freedom in every possible way. Most people look at the hippie generation and laugh, joking about how ridiculous it all was.
What i'm wondering is if our children will be like, "My parents wasted their lives playing video games and developing websites" or something regarding the modern age of mass communication. When will our meaning of "fun" be laughed at and all of our current technology be laughed at because it is so out of date, more importantly, what will future generations think of us gamers?

If future generations laugh at us for being gamers, its their loss.
It doesn't matter if its my generation or the future generation that judges me for what I do, they can all kiss my ass.

uh
lets see
the wwII and prior generation was doped up on drugs (legally) coke had cocaine, so did most OTC medicines.
House wives were doped up on meth (i forget the OTC name it used to have). Cough syrup had heroine or other opiates.
Hippies were a legal than illegal more of the same
videogames don't fall into the same category
that's comparing apples (the fruit, not computer) to nintendos

you completly missed the point and they do fall into the same category in the sense that we (gamers) get our kicks from playing games where as our parents generation got theirs from doing drugs etc.opticledilusi0n wrote:uh

Re: in the future....
I think video games are going to be more like how radio, TV, and movies have become. An entertainment medium came up and was refined. Then more advanced mediums came along to supplant what was already there. I think video games as a concept are here to stay, but the means of interaction are going to continue evolving.
