Any gameboy game suggestions?

Post by Toadstool_mafia »

Recently I have been more interested in adding to my portable collection then usual. I'd like to get a few games for my gameboy advanced that could maybe keep me occupied for a while. I would also like to know what gameboy color games are worth playing cause my local Play N Trade suddenly has loads. What Zelda games are the best? What Metroid and Mario games are the best? Just post some suggestions

Please no Pokemon I have all of them :D

Some of my favorite GBA games are:
Wario Land 4
Metroid Fusion
Metroid Zero Mission
The Super Mario Advance Series
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow

As far as the Gameboy Color I can't recommend anything higher than Wario Land 3.

Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons are two of the best zelda games ever. Wario world 3 is also a pretty awesome platformer. Definately check them out.

The Dragon Warrior/Quest Monsters games are pretty fun. If you aren't familiar with Dragon Warrior/Quest then the first three games are also on the Gameboy color. I found Balloon Kid to be a lot of fun. Link's Awakening was pretty cool from my memory. The DX version has an extra dungeon so I would look out for that one. Wario Ware Inc. was a lot of fun. Other cool games: Drill Dozer, Kirby series, Gargoyle's Quest, Game & Watch Gallery 4, F-Zero games, Megaman Zero series, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, and Klonoa.

I'm preety sure that MGS isn't the American version. The Game Boy Color part on the lower right hand side of the label loos a little suspicious.

It does, but I was using it as an example.

A word of advice: avoid the Mega Man Xtreme games. Please.

If you're looking for a GBA RPG to keep you busy, try Golden Sun, and if you like it, then go on to The Lost Age.

Namco Museum is good if you like retro games like Dig Dug and Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man. And the Yars' Revenge port for the GBC is another good pick if you're into such things.

Metroid II is pretty good. But be warned, it's about as big as Super Metroid, but you have no auto-map. There are save points, though. And the map isn't contiguous, like how every other 2D Metroid is. But it's still great to see where all the powerups originated.
