Another controller storage solution

Post by shallowgamer »

I picked 2 of these up at Target for 22 bucks on clearance. Included the box in the picture to make it easier for you to find. It's by Closet Maid

I placed a variety of stuff here to show what fits:
Gameboy box
DS box
Xbox 360 controller
N64 controller
N64 box
CD case
Atari 7800 box (layed on its side, title is displayed on top/bottom)
SNES box
Dreamcast Controller
Atari 2600 stick

The cubes are about 11 inches deep, which is nice. I plan on devoting one of these to controllers, which shouldn't take long with the N64, Dreamcast, Xbox each sporting at least 4 pads alone. If anyone needs any more info, just let me know.

Wow that's a great idea. Do those things actually stack well? Seems like they'd be a little precarious.

I'm sick of controllers they take up so much space. I want to control my games with my mind.

Were they $22 each or $11 each?

Also, what's the dimensions? I might be able to theoretically stack this on my bookshelf I have now.

One of these would work well for me. I'd probably end up using most of it for game storage though.

It's part of a stacking system. The only "system" involved is a dowel rod on either side if you choose to stack. The nice part is that they've made the widths the same on all the models, so it doesn't look like you just put one piece on top of the other.

It's about 24" wide, and maybe 3 feet tall (i'm not home right now, or i'd measure it).

A bit of warning, there were no instructions included, and the dimension for height is wrong on the box (says 19", but it's much more than that). Perhaps that's why they're on clearance :)

But even without a manual, it assembled quite easily. Your standard particle board fare..

And they were $22 each.
