Zombie Hunters [PAL-E] [SLES-54461] (CD disc)
http://list.sksapps.com/index.php?page=indexz.html
This disc works with my SM 3 and it gives me the pal flicker then a option to see the game in 60hz. The same thing happens with Shadow of the Colossus [PAL-Unk] [SCES-53326], it gives me the pal flicker then a option to see the game in 60hz.
Also I can't get further than 41% with winhiip or DVD decryptor on Shin Megami Tensei - Digital Devil Saga [NTSC-U] [SLUS-20974] but Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne works fine.
And does someone know what exactly I need to do to get Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories to work?
I don't know what version of HDL I'm using if you know how to find out let me know, it was the version that skate323k137 put on the usb drive I sent.

Re: Can't get compatible games to load on PS2 HDLoader
For one thing sksapps' list is hardly accurate. They're missing a ton of information. I even gave them a list of 100 some games that I tested, including a good dozen I confirmed that they had wrongly listed, but the admin didn't care. He prefers people to just list 1 game per forum post. Fucking idiot.
The best list that ever was was at ps2hd.com but it's been gone for a long time. I wish I could find a backup.

as far as the version of HDLoader, it's ver. 0.8c, the most common 'patched' version floating around.
this list might have a little more info for you, i didn't really look but it's the one i go to first.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.

Re: Can't get compatible games to load on PS2 HDLoader
There never was an 0.8c. Only 0.8b. If it says c, its just b patched with any of the post-patches that were discovered. It's highly recommended to just build your own hdload elf by working with an unpatched original version, and carefully selecting all the options in the patcher that apply to your tastes and ps2 version. HDLoader had tons of problems with my slim until I built my own version with all my needed tweaks.skate323k137 wrote:as far as the version of HDLoader, it's ver. 0.8c, the most common 'patched' version floating around.

Re: Can't get compatible games to load on PS2 HDLoader
well aren't you special. j/k, but really, since you had a slim making your own was probably the best option. It's not too hard to find the 'clean' hdloader and patch it yourself, but if you're using IDE on a fat ps2 you're probably wasting your time, as the version included with the new freemcboot newbie pack -says- its 0.8c (which like you said is basically .8b with some extra patches.) either way that's the file name (ver 0.8c) and that's what i'm calling it whether you think it exists or not, since it's worked just fine for me on several systemsMozgus wrote:There never was an 0.8c. as far as dummies go if you've got a program that lets you essentially modify ISO files (isobuster?) you should be able to make an iso first, and replace the dummies with a virtually blank text document (put in a space, period, anything and save) re-named to the same name.extension as the dummy file(s)

Re: Can't get compatible games to load on PS2 HDLoader
hmm, ok.
As I understand HDL, it breaks the hdd into patitions with each disc image on it's own partition, right?
so, if I delete games after I'm done playing them and it leaves a 2 gb partition between my 40 game that are still there, where will my new games go? after all of the old games or fill up that partition then make a new partition?
And in Winhiip, what does the "gb fragments" at the top of the main window?

Re: Can't get compatible games to load on PS2 HDLoader
When you delete game partitions only to fill them in later with other games, you can cause issues down the road, especially with dual layer games. This is why I bought a 500GB drive to hold all my ps2 games. I dont ever have to remove them.
But if you use a HDD above 137GB, theres a patch you need to apply to hdloader, which is just another reason why I say you need to make your own hdloader and not rely on strangers' versions. You dont know what the hell you're running.
