Well, it doesn't realy count as a rare game being that it's actually rather common, this one inparticular is just factory sealed (which in some instances, drives the price very high). I do have that version, though. Mine's even been autographed by Mikami, but is hardly worth $1K.

That auction keeps coming back monthly. Chances are, someone is just resealing them, trying to trick whoever is stupid enough to pay such a high ammount, and in all likelihood, the buyer is also tricking the seller with an expendible account.

i see auctions like this all the time on ebay (especially for rare LPs) but it doesn't mean people actually pay that price for them. sometimes the high starting bid can trick people into thinking something is worth more than it actually is... i've been victim of that a few times myself
