help me pick the next game

Post by RCBH928 »

This is kind of a stupid topic, but I guess maybe some people would find it fun to give in their opinion, I am about to start my next game but am not sure what to choose.
I'll give you a list you tell me what is your opinion, which to play next:

Dreamcast:
Shenmue1
grandia 2
Sonic Adventures

xbox:
GTA vice city(I already played gta3-recently- and san andreas)
Shenmue2(I thought I shouldn't play it before I play 1)

Gamecube:(I never played full game cube game or a metal gear)
Eternal Darkness
Metal Gear Twin Snakes

Or you think I should order a new game I have in mind no more heroes or bully for 360.
Or get something online, I am thinking symphony of the night, but I hate the Microsoft points system where they charge you more points than you need so they keep in your account extra that it itches not to add more Microsoft points and buy another game with it

Personally I've never played Shenmue, but since you've got two on the backburner, why not get the first one out of the way?

Eternal Darkness. But make sure to never heal your green meter.

I say Grandia II. If you like JRPGs at all, this one really hits a sweet spot between old school sensability and modern hardware.

Be sure not to miss Vice City though, it's the best of the series. And absolutely yes play Shenmue before Shenmue II. Every one of those games is worth playing though, it would be hard to go too far wrong.

No body mentioned sonic
is it bad?
I thought i would start with that one since he is the icon of the dreamcast
and i never played sonic game before

Am not sure I want to play vice city since i had enough gta, and I thought san andreas was the best in the series. Maybe I should wait more and play other stuff to change taste I guess(unless vice city is different from other gta's)

as for grandia, I never played Jrpg , so this is going to be my first. I am scared by the long hours consumed by Jrpgs.

Metal gear and eternal darkness are sound choices . I bought a wii back in may, and I only used it to play wii sport (shipped with it) and Super smash brawl since it was bundled with it. I guess I might put it up to use at least.

waiting to hear more opinions

If you have never played a Sonic game before then I would steer you away from any of the non-Genesis games. You want to play a couple of those first before trying out the 3D stuff.

If you're worried about time commitments, don't play the Shenmue games, either. Both will take you many, many hours to complete, though both are beautiful, excellent games.

One thing about the Shenmue games, though, is that they aren't that great if your gaming is regularly interrupted. Both have lots of long, important cutscenese and events that you can't pause. Neither are really something to pick up and play for twenty minutes.

Shenmue,

It is my all time favorite game, but word of caution, the game requires alot of patients since the game moves in a slow pace. But its worth it in the end.

Edit:
IMO, as a MGS fan, play the original on the PS1, they did recently re-released it in a box set form, so it can't be that hard to find.
