What's the best game you've played in 2009?

List the game, the system and the best thing about the game and the worst thing about the game. I feel like a noob posting something like this, but I'll bet we'll have some interesting posts. I'll start:

-Drakan: The Ancient's Gates
-PS2
-Best: all around great game, but I really like the ability to save the game at any time. Why don't more developers include this feature?
-Worst: I could say the load times which are crazy long sometimes (like when starting a saved game or doing a game save), but the thing that seems to really stick in my craw are that certain areas of the game are closed off once you exit them. Why can't I go back and search around for possibly missed items at a later date? These closed off areas are only related to optional quests and thus aren't required to move the storyline forward, but I don't see why they should be closed off once I leave.

I actually haven't played much in 2009 other than Guitar Hero III.
In fact I'm wondering if it actually left my Wii and if I picked up any other system....

Havent found anything amazing so far this year. I guess GRID is the best game so far. Mostly I've been catching up on movies.

Grid really is a great game, I only wish it was available on PS2 since I've yet to get a PS3 or 360. I've played it a lot at a friend's house and have really enjoyed it. I'm sure it could have made to fit on the PS2, I'll bet they would have sold twice as many copies of the game had it also been available on the PS2!

On another note, I again have to say thanks to the RB Guides for recommending Drakan, I would have never picked it up otherwise, wouldn't have even known it existed. I have a few more games in the mail on their way to me which were also recommended in the Guides, can't wait.

I started Grandia recently (finally! I've beaten 2 and 3 some years ago). Best game of 2009 for me

i played through dead space and really enjoyed it... but it is a little early to say best of 09.

Easily Metal Slug, i just picked up the anthology for ps2. I can't believe I neglected this series for so long, so much fun.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom

System: Wii (has to be modded, or use of freeloader,geckos..etc..or have a Japanese Wii)

Best: It is like an updated version of Marvel vs Capcom 2-can be fun for hours if playing with others

Worst: Not enough characters..22..and Gold Lightan and PTX 40A suck..so that numbers it down to only 20 characters

How did I miss this one? Playing it with the HRAP2 SA is gaming godliness that could trap me in my gaming area for days.
