Hey all before I get to my problem I just wanted to say that this website and message board is a great resource for retro gamers and I appreciate all the work thats been put into it.
Anyways here is my dilemma.
I just dusted off some old Sega CDs that I own and had the urge to play them. I still have my Sega CD/ Genesis combo but I dont feel like hooking it up just to play a few games. I decided that I was going to rip the CDs to the computer I have hooked up to my arcade cab that I built and just play them off the hard drive using the Fusion emulator. I got Sonic CD, Eternal Champions, and Final Fight ripped and they play flawlessly. However I cant seem to get my copy of road avenger or Cobra Command to work. The bin/cue files are created fine but I cant get them to run in the emulator. I also tried to use the cd itself to boot the game but no dice on that either. I get the Sega screen with Sonic, but after that just a blank screen. It seems weird that both of the non-working games are FMV/ Dragons Lair type games. Is this a problem with Fusion or am I doing something wrong here?
Thanks for the help.
Sega CD and Fusion Problem
Re: Sega CD and Fusion Problem
Try using another emulator. I find Gens to have a easy interface and a high compatibility rate for Sega CD games.
Re: Sega CD and Fusion Problem
I tried Gens and I got the same result. I guess those games aren't emulated well yet. Has anybody gotten Silpheed to run using either Gens or Fusion? I get the intro movie to play, but it freezes at the "Stage 01" screen. I just want to know so I dont waste my time trouble shooting it if it isnt emulated properly yet.

You should be able to play Sonic CD well in Fusion. Don't know about the other ones. Are you sure your files are good?CodeWhite wrote:I tried Gens and I got the same result. Slipheed works just fine in Fusion. I'm guessing you're not using the real game and you probably do just have a bad image. Find another download and try that one.CodeWhite wrote:I tried Gens and I got the same result. I guess those games aren't emulated well yet.
