I've been lurking around these forums for a little while... so hello.
I've been stumped with trying to determine the name of a particular game. A big problem is that I am very fuzzy with the details, I only played it for a short while in second grade. I'm pretty sure it's on the Super Nintendo. It's a sidescrolling beat 'em up in the west. It has a 2 player mode, and the characters are bulls or ox or some animal dressed as a cowboy. In the first level the player walks around a western town and takes down all the bad guys, but I can't remember if it has guns or the player uses a whip or something. It's a cartoon like graphic design. This isn't a whole lot of information, but hopefully someone can help me.
I've gone down whole lists of games on wikipedia, and other game sites looking at anything that pops out to me. the closest thing I've found is Sunset Riders. Tinstar is also similar, but the game I am looking for is a side-scroller. I've watched videos of Sunset Riders and some of it seems similar to what I remember, but a lot of it is off. I could have the wrong platform, it might be on the playstation, but I'm 90% sure it's not. Maybe I'm just making this game up, having not played it in over 12 years.

Re: Help determine a title name
sounds to me like the "cowboys of moo mesa" SNES game, which was based on a pretty awful show.

That's It!
Turns out that game isn't listed on wikipedia's giant list of games, nor on any of the other websites I checked. I didn't know it was based of a show, I'm guessing it was aimed at kids.
Thanks a lot.
Edit:
Seems like a copy of this game is going to be hard to find.

Yeah, same here. I swear I played it on SNES. My friend had a copy of it, he'd come over once in a while and I'd ask him to bring the game. I don't see any other way we could have played it at my house. There's no way I'm going to talk to this kid if I ever find him. We went our separate ways around 3rd grade. He became the bully of our class, eventually dropping out or failing out of High School. His family has moved out of town, and if I ever did run into him I probably wouldn't bring up this game. Too bad, it was lots of fun.
Maybe I'll find it floating around in a yard sale or something.
Thanks for the help though. If I ever make a MAME Machine, I'll definitely add this game into the mix.
