Reader Appreciation Thread

Post by racketboy »

Just want to take a minute and tell you all that you guys rock!

There have been a healthy number of loyal readers and forum members that have greatly improved my journey on this site.

There are quite a few, so I'll refrain from listing names, but I'm sure you know who you are.

Whether it be PM, emails, blog comments, or forum posts, I've had so many of you encourage me, give me great suggestions, keep me level-headed, and stick up for me when I need some help.

It's been so cool seeing this site take off like it has and I couldn't have done it without all of you.

It's all proportionate to the ammount of time and effort you have put into it. I know that I'd never be able to stay this dedicated to my own site, no matter what it covered.

To summarize, getting attention on the internets is haaaard

This place reminds me a lot of etoychest.org back in the day when it was a smaller group of people talking abotu games, and most conversations were about retro gaming.

This site is a great resource in terms of info; the shop as well has some relatively hard to find items that are clearly of interest; and finally, there is the community which is (IMO) very good.

When I decided to come into retro consoles (I was already into old PC games and emulation) I stumbled upon this site and read much useful tidbits on the systems and games. I came to the forums and found peers with

So a big thank you to Racketboy but also to many of the "regular" (and not so regular) forum members, which often help out in several issues.

This is the first board that I bother to check frequently that I sort of feel like I'm in on the ground floor. Don't know if I've actually contributed anything worthwhile, but I'm glad to be a regular. I think most of us would like to thank you, racketboy, and congratulate you on getting some traffic.

Yeah, I'd say we have a nice tight group here.
You have all contributed in some way.
Keeping the conversations going is a great contribution as it is :)

I'm fairly new here, but when compliments are flying, I'll intercept one.

Finally, a little place on the internet that takes the time to flatter me.

How sweet it is...

Anyway -- love this place. A quiet little corner where Saturn nerds can gather.
