Glad to see other people use this trick. It's my requirement for gaming snacks. If it can be put into a cup and eaten then I wont eat it. I personally like pretzels.Hobie-wan wrote:
Protip: Putting chips in a wide mouth plastic cup and eating them that way prevents finger salsa in your controller.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Xbox One
Personally, I eat things with a fork and knife or a spoon while playing games. I play for a bit, pause, put down the controller, take a few bites, then go back to the game. I also drink lots of beverages.
Re: Xbox One
Never had a LAN party! Definitely do a lot of local multiplayer console gaming but never anything like a PC LAN party. I wouldn't mind doing one, but only a few of my friends are into PC gaming. And mainly MMOs.Hobie-wan wrote:People today miss out on the fun of LAN parties.ZenErik wrote:Interesting. I never actually eat while gaming. So wait they aren't doing a promotion there with irn bru?Niode wrote:For a country facing such an obesity epidemic as the USA, I find it rather distasteful that Microsoft are more than ready to employ such a marketing strategy. I think Microsoft need to take a leaf out of Nintendo's book and sell consoles based on the quality of your games not the colour of the packet of high-carb fat-saturated salty crap they're trying to force down your neck. I find that hard to swallow; this advertisement campaign even more so.

Consoles have some similar kinds of things - the Halo games (at least through 3) are excellent for it as you can have multiple consoles on a network all playing split screen as well.ZenErik wrote: Never had a LAN party! That said, with the proliferation of wireless, and the relative strength of integrated graphics even going back a few years, it's not hard to pull together a LAN party of sorts. Basically everything my friends and I used to lug towers and big ol' CRTs to someone's house to play - Quake III, Unreal Tournament/2k3/2k4, Counter-Strike, Serious Sam, have no performance issues on even Intel integrated graphics from a few years ago. So you just need people with PCs (or old PCs), not necessarily "gaming PCs".

I miss LAN parties too. It's what I did for my bachelor party.Hobie-wan wrote:People today miss out on the fun of LAN parties.ZenErik wrote:Interesting. I never actually eat while gaming. Either I am so occupied that I'm not hungry or I just take a break.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Facing an obesity epidemic? You watch too much tv man, that is a judgement without first hand knowledge. We also have about 1000 other epidemics, our news is about as accurate as the internet.flex wood wrote:Niode wrote:For a country facing such an obesity epidemic as the USA, I find it rather distasteful that Microsoft are more than ready to employ such a marketing strategy. But seriously man, dont judge us by our TV. Real life here is no different than yours, just different places.
Wow, I just defended Microsoft.
