Nintendo Announces 2DS....thoughts?

I like all the jokes aimed at any silly hardware that comes out, but let's be honest, who here could think of a good name for this?

It's in the same line as the 3DS but without 3D. 2DS is obviously silly as Dave put it, but it's also probably the best option they had. This way consumers might at least understand that DS + number in name = next gen DS

The problem is, the games are called 3DS games, the system is called a 3DS and now it goes beyond the fact that "3D" is in the name. They should have called it 3DS Lite, this would have gone with the same naming convention they had before.

I could understand the non-3D aspect of it (even though you can turn it off on a 3DS) but why the horrible design? It loses ist portability and The button placement is in a terrible location.

Just cut the price of the 3DS! Maybe the 3DS XL so that I can upgrade.

2DS seems to be a no-brainer name for this. I mean, what else is there? 3DSbasic? 3DSbaby? 3DS with a big X on the 3?

Just slap a big logo on the box that says it plays all DS and 3DS software.

Now as for the Wii U....

They probably could've come up with a better name.

My PS3 can't play PS4 games. So why would a 2DS play 3DS games? This box is confusing.
