Well if the price is the only thing keeping you from playing this game, I'd say go for it. As it's not a 60 dollar brand new vs 20 dollar bargain bin price difference we're talking here, it's 10 dollar bargain bin vs 6 bargain bin price difference we're talking  4 dollars isn't a whole lot of money (I understand unwillingness to pay that much for a downloadable game as I don't like to buy DL only games myself, but like said, you can find a jewel case copy for 10 dollars or less too)

If you can't appreciate well written dialogue, characters, story and a game world where your actions have consequences this game probably isn't for you tbh, but I say that if you're able to play any PS1/PS2 era Final Fantasy/average JRPG (shit ton of dialogue you gotta sit through), you can handle this game, so it's a good game to keep in mind when/if you wanna some day get into WRPGs. But like I said, if you only want combat and tactics, there are far better WRPGs out there than this.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Like I said, if some crazy sale comes along while you guys are playing then I'll probably join in. If not, I've got more than enough games to keep me happily busy.

It's far better than FF7. ;)

If it's any extra motivation, there was a time when this game was tough to find and even the cheap, bargain-bin version was going for around $50 on eBay!

I'm taking a little "break" until Sunday night or so. Still swamped with homework.

Gamewise, I'm still in The Hive. It's so huge and a bit overwhelming.

Anyone playing this?

I had to take about a week off due to a mountain of schoolwork but I fired it up for a bit last night.

Still in the Hive, derping around with some sidequests and whatnot. I'll probably upgrade my equipment soon and sell some crap from the mortuary.

I doubt I'll be able to finish this buy Nov. 11, unfortunately.

Upgrading your equipment is a pretty low priority in this game. So don't worry about "falling behind".

I assume the other folks playing this are moving along at a snails pace like I am?

But I found Pharod! And I guess now I have to go through a dungeon or something. PROGRESS.
