It's not really in the "mainline" or retro systems that people need, but I'd say it's at or near the front of the pack for non-main systems (unless you count the TG-16 as a non-mainline... I think it's a necessary system for collectors).
So CD-i takes the cake for least favorite system then, huh? ;)

The 3DO? Yes.
Its region free too, as I understand it.
That adds to its library a bit I should say.

As I understand it, not too substantially. It is an American system in Japan after all.
There are one or two interesting japanese games for the system i believe, but actually, not all of them are region free. There's a small handful that won't work on western systems because they don't include the necessary character sets for the japanese text.

It sure did. It's actually pretty easy and cheap to find used there. I think it did better than the X-Box.

*hint* Panasonic (aka. Matsushita, aka. National) is a Japanese company. But yeah, 3DO was American at the core. Panasonic (and Sanyo) were just licensed manufactures.

Sorry for the megaquote.
I'll just add to that list a little:
Sin & Punishment, Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Gunblade NY & L.A Machineguns, Xenoblade, Max and the Magic Marker, King of Fighters: Orochi Saga, Cursed Mountain,
Another Code:R, Manhunt 2 (if that's your kinda thing), Mercury Meltdown Revolution.
I think we should set up some sort of definitive list every time this post comes up, or
for curious gamer intent on getting more out of their Wii beyond that woeful shovelware
that Nintendo have let flood their system.
On the 3DO note, I implore any one with an interest in the 3DO to check out Howard Scott Warshaw's account of what it was like to work there. It started about two months ago in GamesTM magazine, and will be documented in his column every month going forward.

Man, I looked at that TL;DR list of Wii games (I knew a TL;DR list was going to get posted, just guessed the wrong system) and only saw five or so games that appealed to me at all. And hell, some of those games were ones I thought would appeal to me, then I actually play them and end up going back to their GameCube equivalent.
That's the thing - it's all about taste. Or in the case of Wii lovers,
it's all about lack of taste.

In fairness, how would you know if it's TL;DR? Also, it's hardly trolling if you're defending the majority opinion.
