Legend of Grimrock

Image
*Click for Official Website*

"Legend of Grimrock is a dungeon crawl game. It will be influenced by oldschool games of the genre but it won’t be a game that would have been possible to make fifteen years ago. It will look great, have loads of atmosphere, sound good and play well. We won’t be making many promises during the development since things will often change down the line, but those aforementioned parameters I can pretty much guarantee. And lastly, we’re hoping on bringing this game for iOS, PC and Mac and possibly some other platforms as well." - Almost Human Ltd.

Veil

Early Trailer Video

Veil is a first person horror game without weapons. It looks slow and moody and I like the style. Need more info though.

Sky Legends

This is nominated for a best new Unity engine game of 2011. It's not out quite yet though. It looks really cool and will play in your browser. The Unity engine is really cool and shows a lot of promise. I think there will be a lot more of it seen in the future.

Rochard

Rochard is also up for a Unity award this year. It's a side scrolling platformer with physics-based gameplay. The game takes a comical action hero approach.

A Texas ranger goes on vacation to some castles in England and walks through a blue portal that takes him to an alternate version of Texas. The Real Texas is a gun slingin action adventure RPG that looks more fun than tippin cows.

Mirage

This game looks surreal. It's too weird for me to describe, but here's what the official statement says:

"A lonely subaquatic tophat found a human foot and managed to get it to work. With that new achieved autonomy, the tophat starts to explore the world, always trying to imitate its human creator. Mirage is an experimental game about a strange creature in a surreal world. The creature can be constructed out of various human body parts, which allow it to perceive the environment differently."

Black Knight Sword

Image
*Click for Trailer*

You are a black knight trying to break free from the tyrannical princess. It's a little opposite from your traditional side-scroller set up. The graphics have some fun cut-out style to them. It's like a backwards fairytale diorama.

Climb to the Top of the Castle

Sometimes a simple premise is all you need. The title of this one kind of sums it up. It has a lovely story book style to it as well.

Wow! There are a lot of beautiful looking indie games coming soon. This one really takes the cake though because it looks so much like Ico, but with more green and red colors. Watch the trailer and see what I mean. I guess this is a game where the princess has been kidnapped and locked in a tower, but you are the princess and you need to find a way to escape.
