This. I suggest looking into getting drivers that let your pc see a ps3 controller plugged in. That way you can charge while you are browsing the web / working / playing a pc game.

Don't need drivers. I just plug it into my PC and it charges.

There were light gun games on the NES, yes. But Operation Wolf is a far cry from House of the Dead Overkill.

Not really, I was expressing my final opinion on the Wii because I always waited thinking the system is still new..

I was wondering if people are on my side or not...
Why is it trolling to see the different opinions of people?

I am actually very surprised by the reaction of the other members, and to see what is more valuable to them(I am extremely surprised that some people want to play Ju-On over something like InFamous for example)

I think calling the Wii a failure is pretty harsh. The game selection might not appeal to you but that's ok. There's definitely a market segment for the Wii. I bought the Wii (used) earlier this year to give to my kids for Christmas. I'm sure I will pick up a PS3 sometime in the next couple of years as well as 360. They're all great consoles in their own way.

Its up to you, but if I were you, I would pick up the next generation console if it had ps3/360 backward compatibility.

I think I might be going crazy, but I am starting to see the lack of power on those consoles already. I am not sure if I am just imagining or not. I guess something is missing from the hardcore titles this generation. I am not sure why, although I think 360's library is superb. Maybe I am not playing it enough

I enjoyed InFamous, and I love Sucker Punch, but even I didn't find the game to be that special. Just an open-world adventure where you play as a super hero (or villain).

A good Survival Horror game, on the other hand, is something that is pretty rare these days. Most recent Survival Horror games are really just Action Shooter Chattur'gha Bonethieves that take over the bodies of Survival Horror games. Dead Space and Resident Evil 5 may look like Survival Horror, but make no mistake - they're just shooters.

Granted, I don't think Ju-On will be a good Survival Horror game, but ya know - I can understand someone being more excited for it than yet another Open-World Adventure game.

The next generation won't be coming for quite a long time (I'd hope). For the most part, this gen of systems is going to try to extend itself with things like Natal. As for a lack of hardcore titles with the consoles of this gen - did you somehow miss Demon's Souls? Seriously - that game is as hardcore as it gets. I didn't turn off my electric smiles machine for about 2 weeks straight.

If you want hardcore games this generation, you need to stop looking at Brick 'N Mortars (although they can be found there if you look in the right places) and start looking on Steam, XBLA and PSN.

Well he said he will be waiting couple of years, so I think maybe in 2012-2013(7 years for 360, i doubt that) we will see new things coming out.

I am not saying hardcore titles are missing, I am saying something is missing. I think it might be not enough new IPs, though until now PS3 is doing good with Folklore , Demon Soul, Drake's Fortune, LittleBigPlanet and more. I don't own a ps3, but I appreciate it now. Its amazing how it survived, how it turned out to have the best price to value(now) , and it has all the good games. One upsetting thing is that 360 is still scoring slightly better on graphics for multiplats , I don't know why.

Well, the Xbox 360 is always the lead development console. That's because it's still quite a bit more popular than the PS3. Just a fact of life, and honestly, it isn't that big of a deal to me. I've played a good chunk of Bayonetta on PS3, and while there is slow down when a boss appears, it isn't game breaking or anything.

I would say developers always stick with the most popular console, but then we have the Wii - extremely popular, yet little to no developer support. I think it's because most studios know you need more than just a lot of people playing the console, you need a lot of your people playing the console.

Actually, I bought a 360 for Dead Rising. Good game, but after having 2 360s crap out on me, I don't know if there's a game they can make that will make it worth putting up with that shit.

My girlfriend also has a Wii, which we got at launch. To be exact, it is the ONLY game device I have sat in line for on opening day, so I could play Red Steel. 12 hours in a Wal-Mart for a game that some people consider crap, but you know what? It was worth it to me. Over the weekend I watched Little King's Story played, and it captivated me far more than something like InFamous(or the slew of other titles that are exactly the same at this point). Could it be done on another console? Probably, as it seemed like an upgraded Pikmen to me. But nobody else is getting it, and man do I want to play it.

The PS3 interests me, but I was waiting for something to come out that really made me want it. Only three games popped up that made me decide to look into getting one, and of those, one won't be released in the US until next year, and the third's developer is flip-flopping on whether to release it in the states at all. That's right, the three that appealed the most to me were Way of the Samurai 3, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and Yakuza 3. Most of the other games on the console that interest me I could have also gotten for my Xbox 360(while it worked) or for the PC.
