Noise:

Do you run into any games that you simply can't play on your i3 machine?

not a one. And I'm trying to think of the more demanding games I've played... Tomb Raider reboot, Titanfall, Wolfenstein New Order, etc... I've had no issues. Maybe a stutter here or there, but nothing that really stands out as being a problem. Running through Borderlands 2 w/ graphics pretty high and in 4-player co-op. No issues. Now, I don't generally max my settings, and I'm not always completely sure what is relying on CPU and what is relying on GPU, but my i3 has done well.

That said, my particular i3 is actually in the 2nd tier on Tom's Hardware's hierarchy chart: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gam ... 106-5.html - I have a 2130. So perhaps that's been part of my luck.

That said, a CPU upgrade will certainly be in my somewhat near future, as I'd love to not even have the possibility of the i3 bottlenecking shiz as a worry in the back of my mind.

I too, am playing through some BL2.

1280x800, FXAA, AF 2x, max settings w/ AO turned off.

I like this game a lot more than I did on Vita so far. 60fps and proper controls have a lot to do with that I bet. :P
