Is it better/worse than Link's Awakening?

I love Link's Awakening, so thus far worse.

My Zelda rankings:

Top Tier:
1. A Link to the Past
2. Legend of Zelda
3. Link's Awakening

Second Tier:
4. Oracle of Ages (maybe Seasons too?)
5. Four Swords (only limited play, though)
6. Adventure of Link

Third Tier and below:
yuck: 3d Zelda Games (played some of OoT, MM, WW)...I'm assuming the Wii titles fit here too
the horror: CDi games
not played/no opinion: Minish, Spirit Tracks

I'm in the camp that finds Ocarina really overrated. I thought Majora's Mask was way more interesting. Though in fairness, I found the N64's graphics really ugly too. Maybe why I love Wind Waker so much more.

Indeed. Although, in some ways I might prefer Majora's Mask to Wind Waker, they both feel like the best 3D Zelda has to offer, to me. The others being somewhat uninspiring.

Dave, is the reason for LoZ trumping LA in your list based on the context of the climate at their respective releases, or that you truly feel LoZ is a better game overall?
