Perhaps nobody has done a study about the correlation between the two, and the suggested symbols were just an available option for those who attend conventions that feel they are an easier expression than confrontation. Perhaps the answer isn't given simply because it isn't known.Ack wrote:8 pages in, Hobie and I still don't have an answer to our question about rates of autism among My Little Pony fans and the use of autism organizational color code badges at conventions.

I have seen that sort of color code thing used at anime cons. It wasn't specifically for people on the spectrum I don't believe, like a lot of cosplayers were really praising the system and wanted it used more often because they hated people 'gomping' them and ruining their costumes and that sort of thing.Ack wrote:8 pages in, Hobie and I still don't have an answer to our question about rates of autism among My Little Pony fans and the use of autism organizational color code badges at conventions.

I and some others did give personally experiences with autism and fandom? What are you looking for, a study? I am sure you searched it by now and if you didn't find one we sure won't either.Ack wrote:8 pages in, Hobie and I still don't have an answer to our question about rates of autism among My Little Pony fans and the use of autism organizational color code badges at conventions.
I don't see anyone doing that in this thread.AppleQueso wrote: frankly I don't think a lot of people in those communities felt particularly welcome around here.
...probably because people keep associating them with pedophiles.
Maybe not in this thread particularly but we have had other Brony topics pop up. Either way whether or not people said anything about pedophilia doesn't matter as I have read enough negative comments about them in this thread and on this forum that her point still stands.dsheinem wrote:I don't see anyone doing that in this thread.AppleQueso wrote: frankly I don't think a lot of people in those communities felt particularly welcome around here.
