Lets talk about "Swatting" and loss of freedom in America

Whenever I hear about events like this going on I can't help getting a little worried, but I'm not sure which to be more worried more about.

The possibility of America becoming a police state where corrupt officers and politicians can do whatever they want and get away with it, even if it means directly or indirectly hurting innocent people and robbing citizens of basic rights.

Or the possibility of some kind of revolt in which riots over take the country and turn it into a war zone. With average US citizens using self-righteous excuses and claiming that they're "taking America back," but then with many of them using it as a ploy to steal things they otherwise couldn't get, or hurt unrelated people they feel deserve it.


Truth be told it worries me since my family are all lower middle class who got lucky and are living in a rather nice area. We're not nearly important enough to be safe in the first hypothetical scenario, but we have just enough money and unbeknownst white privilege to be potential targets in the second hypothetical scenario.

You know, I think this is one time I'm fine with that bullshit story spreading and making turdbuckets think there are terrible consequences for stupid actions like that.
