I scanned the maps for Dragon Warrior I & II GBC and Dragon Warrior III GBC; if that ended up being in TR everybody could have a map.

Uhh... What?

DS games are cheap (at least in the states) and the GBC games are not that bad if you just get a cart.

The only way you'll pay crazy money is if you get into wanting the Game Boy titles CIB.

The DS ones all go from £25 and up on Amazon UK. They were £30 at release. The Game Boy color 1 & 2 release doesn't appear to be on eBay right now, but last few I watched went for frankly crazy amounts

well we could do one of the Ultima games. Many of them were ported to shitloads of computer systems and consoles? For instance III, IV and V were all ported to NES along with like Amiga, ST, and etc etc etc.

Another idea would be one of the first couple Ys games since those were TG16, SCD and eventually PSP.

also, I'm totally content playing ANY puzzle game, as I play Puzzle Fighter plenty on my own. However, I wanted to point out that if we do pick that one, then those of us that have access to PSN/XBLA could play it together online.

AND I also noticed that just today an English translation of the DC version came out on the interwebs.

What about the original Fallout? It's only PC but it's super cheap and can run on pretty much any machine.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I think I meant to say computer, not necessarily PC. I am pretty sure it's on Mac now, too.

Here are a couple of my thoughts. I'll put this out and then add to the list if I want to.

Sep: Platformer
Donkey Kong Jr.
Whoa, what? That's right. Junior doesn't get the respect he deserves, being stuck in the shadow of the original Donkey Kong. That doesn't make it a bad game though, and I feel, with its good gameplay and many ports, can make a great TR title.

Note: If we do this one, I'd like to do it in June/July/August so that I can play the arcade version. 8)

Systems:
3DS (Ambassador Program (NES), soon will be Virtual Console)
Arcade
Atari 800
Atari 2600
Atari 7800
Atari XE
BBC Micro
Coleco Adam
ColecoVision
Intellivision
Famicom
Famicom Disk System
Game and Watch (two versions, one titled Donkey Kong II)
GameCube (unlockable in Animal Crossing)
GBA (e-Reader)
NES (Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong Classics)
Tabletop Arcade
Wii (Virtual Console (NES))

Nov: Puzzle
Panel de Pon/Puzzle League
It's popular for a reason: it's awesome. Also, I think by this point, I'll be the world record holder on Pokemon Puzzle Challenge, so you guys playing that will have to take your best shots...;)

Systems:
DS: Planet Puzzle League, Puzzle League Express (DSiWare)
GameCube: Nintendo Puzzle Collection (Japanese only)
GB: Tetris Attack
GBA: Dr. Mario & Puzzle League
GBC: Pokemon Puzzle Challenge
N64: Pokemon Puzzle League
SNES: Tetris Attack
Super Famicom: Panel de Pon (Japanese only)
Wii: Pokemon Puzzle League (Virtual Console)
