You're feeling screwed over because somebody else pirates a game that you paid for?
Might as well stop buying games.

And like I said before, they released Rush Rush Rally Racing on Dreamcast first, then released it on Wii VC. They are releasing games for 360 and Wii, not just Dreamcast. For those that want the game, good deal, for those that cant see the logic, I'll say it again, why are you on a retro gaming forum in the first place? Collectors will pay that price for a limited release of a game for the historic value, as these tend to increase in price if left unopened 5 or 10 years down the road.
They will continue to release games on the Dreamcast, and also get money for their games on Xbox Live arcade and Wii Virtual console, to fund their company and keep them afloat.
Also, they are not the only companies developing games for the Dreamcast to this very day we have Yuan Works, NGDev who still make games for the Neo Geo MVS/CD and port their games over to Dreamcast. You also have Goat store that published a game in December 2009 that was a port from the iPhone, thats right, the iPhone also has PowerVR graphics just like the Dreamcast, so it is kind of easy to port games to it.
You guys act like it is a suprise to you that people are willing to buy a new Dreamcast game for so much, but these same people have been buying every indie game for the Dreamcast every year. The Dreamcast has not had a year go by YET that they haven't released a new game on it. Fast Striker is coming out this month, so that is another great Shmup we get on our console. The Dreamcast is a Shmup fans dream console to own, as it likely has more Shmups than a lot of other consoles, as it can Emulate most systems that came before it, and has so many great Japanese Shmups in the first place.

Re: Redspot Games announces new Dreamcast game "Sturmwind"
In all fairness, all the videos online before the games release clearly showed that those games were gonna be pure crap. Hence why I never ordered them. I didn't have to pirate a copy online to find that out. As for this game, I'll have to see some videos before placing my order for this one. Though those screens look awesome, I hope it doesn't suck, Europe isn't exactly known for their Shmups after all.elmagicochrisg wrote:noiseredux wrote:Weekend_Warrior wrote:or just wait for the game files to show up on the net and then burn it.
it's kind of lousy to openly admit that you plan to pirate from indie devs. Now who doesn't value whose time and money?
People like me that actually bought physical copies of both Last Hope, Dux and RRRR and ended up feeling screwed over for doing so...
It's like paying good money to go see a movie that ends up being total shit and you're thinking like : "I want my money back!..."

Now, you do know that this was a port from an early 90's console right? It has pre rendered 3d back grounds. It also has the highest mega bit count since the begining of Neo Geo games.
Well... Obviously we have some Shmup haters here, go ahead, hate on it all you like.

you guys keep saying you don't like these games they look like trash, ok good for you. That is like what 3 people so far, when the rest have mostly said they liked the games and give good comments.
Ok that is your opinion, lets move on people, quit trolling for trolling's sake.

Saying it is a turd, that sounds like trolling but whatever man, each to their own.

Guys, seriously, lay off it. If you're interested, great. If not, don't worry about how other folks spend their money.
