P Sharp has been a Fantasy Hockey pick up of mine for the last 2 years. He's been sooo helpful in those leagues.
Re: NHL Hockey playoff Thread
Another big win for the Flyers! 2 shutouts in a row has to take a toll on the other team's confidence. Not bad for his first playoff performance.
Re: NHL Hockey playoff Thread
Im Rooting for the Canadians to win the cup, A. They have deserved it after beating the Capitals and Penguins, B. I want them to beat the Blackhawks, becasue it would be funny for hossa to make it to 3 consecutive Stanley cup finals, with 3 different teams, to lose all 3 times.

I was rooting for the Canadiens because it's been so long since a Canadian NHL team won it, but I am really impressed with Philly. After being down 3-0 they won 4 in a row against Boston and have shut-out Montreal back-to-back while making Halak look ordinary.
On the West side, I'm slightly supporting Chicago, but only 'cause they're an Original 6 team.

With both sides at 2-0, I am wondering if the Conference Final will over soon. Against the Flyers, the Habs aren't the same as they played the Caps and Pens, maybe the gas has run out on everyone. The Sharks, both loss were within one goal, and they worked hard to come back from behind. But I am leaning towards a Flyers/Blackhawks showdown for the Cup.

The 2nd game Chicago was up 4-1. Sharks 2nd goal was with about 5 min left. Sharks looked horrible.
Final was 4-2

Yeah that Sharks/Hawks game was pretty sad. The Sharks got pretty testy at the end, which is either them trying to send a message and tire out/frustrate/intimidate the Hawks or it's them starting to lose it and get stupid like the Bruins did towards the end.DaGamingMonkey wrote:skyknight wrote:The Sharks, both loss were within one goal, and they worked hard to come back from behind. Great quote during the Sharks/Hawks game: "There's a philosophy made popular by a team that's doing pretty well right now in orange that if you lose you don't want the other team to enjoy it that much." It was something like that.

That thought has occurred to many people, myself included, and that WOULD be funny. I don't hate Hossa though. I wish he was still here. I said Chicago would win, so that means I believe it's more like "third time's the charm" for Hossa.BlackDS wrote: I want them to beat the Blackhawks, becasue it would be funny for hossa to make it to 3 consecutive Stanley cup finals, with 3 different teams, to lose all 3 times.
And people cheering for an "Original Six" team...what exactly is your reasoning for that? The words "old" and "original" have special meaning for you? It really means nothing. Pittsburgh is an older NHL city than Chicago, Detroit or New York, and if not for the Great Depression and owners with deeper pockets, it would be "Original Seven"
Oh, and the Flyers are really "showin' me somethin'" right now. Impressive. Although I claimed that Montreal wasn't very good, so maybe the Flyers are just doing what they're supposed to do...

I may be getting ahead of myself here but if the hawks did win it all you think Hossa would be the first person Toews handed it off to?

Kind of funny to think about...but, no. He ain't no Ray Bourque. He's a journeyman with a lot of career left in him. I doubt they'd be so sentimental about him. Kane or Niemi would get it second.
On the other hand, there's a lot of playoffs left. If he ups his scoring, he might get it second for his efforts.
