Finished watching Trigun last night. I really enjoyed it. I got the same sort of feeling watching it as I did when I watched Cowboy Bebop for the first time. Made me feel really nostalgic

You know, you had me a little scared there for a while. I thought the whole thing was going to end on some really annoying cliffhanger, but it ended up being a lot better than I expected. But I do agree with you. I think ten more minutes of air time would have given us something a lot more concrete. But then, Bebop did something very similar and I love that show, so I guess I really can't complain too much.

Have you played the visual novel? That is the original source. I have yet to play it. Just been sitting on my hard drive for a year. Should probably do that soon.
I have not played it yet but I would love too! I'm going to try to get my hands on it one of these days

Yup, the only difference is that Trigun has a manga that continues the story. I don't think Bebop does... it's just a shame the Trigun anime only covered a little bit.
I think I'm gonna rewatch both myself here pretty soon, definitely going to be nostalgic!

Yeah, it is a shame. But like you said before, it's not uncommon for a series with only 20-some-odd episodes. The more I think about it, the more I wish that they'd cut back on some of the goofiness of the first half of the show, and instead narrowed their focus like they did in the second half. Not that I didn't find the first half enjoyable. I just think the second half sort of blows it out of the water.
