@Forlorn Drifter Just having fun with ya bro hope you understand.
GCN seems to be the only one that they didn't do it for and it was kinda refreshing.

Re: Nintendo: Project Cafe - Wii U
I think that was because it doesn't have a good name fragment to use. Super worked well because it implied the better version of whatever it was and 64 affixes well, but Gamecube? You either use Game, which is far too generic, or puns on the word Cube, which tend to imply more than the game is delivering.Stark wrote:@Forlorn Drifter Just having fun with ya bro hope you understand.

Re: Nintendo: Project Cafe - Wii U
I'm aggrivated at the fact that the internet says one day that the Wii U is the best console yet and that every developer wants to put stuff on it, and then it says the exact opposite the next day. Gaaah.
In other news, Tank! Tank! Tank! looks interesting. MadCatz has already shown their version of the Wii U pro controller, which has an Xbox 360 style layout.
Now, if I can get an Xbox style controller for a PS3...

Re: Nintendo: Project Cafe - Wii U
Spike TV was complaining that there wasn't a strong enough launch library. I thought it looked good. New Super Mario Bros. U, ZombiU, Rayman Legends, Avengers, Batman Arkham City Armored Edition will all be titles I'm looking forward to. And I don't have a copy of Ninja Gaiden 3 yet, so I'd be in the market for that one, too.
However I agree that Nintendo's first-party titles seem to be mysteriously absent. Where's a Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Mario Kart, or Smash Bros. game? I don't expect them to release them all, but I thought we'd see more than just Mario and Luigi's Mansion 2. That Nintendo Theme Park game and Pikmin 3 didn't look all that appealing to me, either.

Otherwise, I see what your saying. However, other than Mario Kart, the titles you brought up usually come a year after the drop. Retro's big reveal was pulled from the conference, because they did not believe it was ready. New Metroid, maybe a new Starfox? Hmmm....
The Wii U Ninja Gaiden 3 is actually very different from the other versions. It has the following additions:
Wii U exclusive features:
Six new weapons types
Three new Ninpo types
Leveling System
Added Blood and Gore(Somewhat ironic, considering this is Nintendo...)
Improved AI
Extra Enemy types and Arenas
Controller Inventory/Real Time
In other words, this is generally fixing most of the problems that many reviewers and fans of the game had with it.

I looked for stuff like this nigh on two weeks when I was looking into getting a BC PS3, and it looks like I missed these completely. How did I do that?!

Re: Nintendo: Project Cafe - Wii U
Little bit of a bump, just to see if you guys have heard this yet.
One of the rumors that has been jumping out at me is he fact that Wii U will have support for free to play and MMO style games. My immediate thought was Team Fortress 2 WITH ALL THE UPDATES on console. Imagine it... I think this also lends a bit to the suggestions that Nintendo and Valve are possibly working on having Steam on Wii U.
Now, to make a Pokemon game, with continual updates... oh, the ideas I've had since I've been watching the anime reruns this week... OH MAN!

Another bump. I reallly want to see if they can bring some RTS games over and make them work. That would be so sweet. Of course, I'm not sure how well it could be made without having to look at the controller constantly, or having to awkwardly hold the controller one handed.
