What was the last movie you've seen?

Oh I just loved this disappointingly predictable part:
"Oh look! An alien snake creature! *rushes towards it*

"HISSSS!!!!"

*reaches out to touch it*

"HISSSSS!!!"

*reaches out to touch it--- again!*

*HISSSSS!!!"

*snake thinks "Screw it" and mercifully kills the imbecile*

Now watching a whole bunch of Edward Furlong crappy horror movies. I just watched a Night of the Demons remake from 2009, which I actually found quite good. It had a great soundtrack.

Currently watching El Intermedio, which might just be crap. Not sure yet.
El Intermedio is extreme crap. Still like Night of the Demons though.

predictable, sure, but the immediacy and the direction of the horror/gore that ensued in that scene was quite riveting, and one of the best in the film, I thought. A ton of breathless folks in my showing were like "Jesus Christ!" and "Daaaaamn!" after that scene.

I loved that scene.

Not gonna lie though:
The entire time it was unfolding I kept thinking, "Dude, what are you doing? Why would you try to touch it? The two of you didn't want to go anywhere near anything when you were warned earlier that the probe was picking up a life form. So why do you choose now to speak to it as if it were a stray dog?" Then when he went to touch it for the third time I thought, "Oh, never mind. You're just an idiot :? "

...And then the thing broke his arm and killed him and I felt no remorse.

things like the scene mentioned above don't really bother me. even though they defy all logic and are really easy to make fun of, I feel like this just falls into the line of "movie logic" where people do certain things or improbable things happen in general just to move the movie along.

examples:
in Blow Out, John Travolta breaks the window of the car THATS UNDERWATER with a rock in the opening scene. I'm pretty sure anyone of average strength wouldn't be capable of doing this, but its necessary for the rest of the film to work.

and in North by Northwest, are we really expected to believe that this guy was force fed an enormous glass of bourbon completely against his will and there's nothing he could do about it? at all? he couldn't spit it back up or just close his throat or something? there has to be a way around that, some how. But we don't question it. Cause with out that key opening, the rest of the movie wouldn't work at all.
The scene in Prometheus isn't as obligatory for "the movie to work" as it was in my examples, but its just the way these things work. I can understand them to be frustrating, but that's why its a movie.
Oh, come on, don't leave your uncle T-Bag hangin'!

Pulp Fiction
Mmm! Now that is one awesome movie!
I loved how all the stories are told out of chronological order, so you don't know how they all tie together until the last 10 minutes.

The guy says something really close to "Shh shh, it's okay baby". I think a year from now when you guys watch this at home and see it for a second time, in the back of your mind you'll think "Shit. Luke was on the money with this".
