El Intermedio is extreme crap. Still like Night of the Demons though.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Watched Avengers. Great, as everybody has said.
Now watching a whole bunch of Edward Furlong crappy horror movies. I just watched a Night of the Demons remake from 2009, which I actually found quite good. It had a great soundtrack.
Currently watching El Intermedio, which might just be crap. Not sure yet.

That whole scene was definitely the worst of the worst. Was it supposed to be comical? ... just, wow. lolOpa Opa wrote:Oh I just loved this disappointingly predictable part:Luke wrote:PROMETHEUS contradicts common sense like no movie that comes to mind.

The best of the best.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
predictable, sure, but the immediacy and the direction of the horror/gore that ensued in that scene was quite riveting, and one of the best in the film, I thought. A ton of breathless folks in my showing were like "Jesus Christ!" and "Daaaaamn!" after that scene.Xeogred wrote:That whole scene was definitely the worst of the worst. Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
things like the scene mentioned above don't really bother me. even though they defy all logic and are really easy to make fun of, I feel like this just falls into the line of "movie logic" where people do certain things or improbable things happen in general just to move the movie along.
examples:
The scene in Prometheus isn't as obligatory for "the movie to work" as it was in my examples, but its just the way these things work. I can understand them to be frustrating, but that's why its a movie.

Oh, come on, don't leave your uncle T-Bag hangin'!

The guy says something really close to "Shh shh, it's okay baby". I think a year from now when you guys watch this at home and see it for a second time, in the back of your mind you'll think "Shit. Luke was on the money with this".
