I agree. As such im only buying Sony produced games until their is closure on 3rd party titles being exclusive or not, i dunno theirs something about multiplatform games that i just fine upappealing, its like "ok, you bought this one system, and you have bought games that arent unique to it, hows that make you feel?" I dunno mabe im just rambling now.Flak Beard wrote:All I'm saying, talk is cheap at this stage in the game. That's funny.. I never had a problem with my 360 working with my zeroconfig linux server yet my PS3 completely refuses to see any media on it...HoboJoe wrote:No the 360 isn't a good multimedia player. It's a pain to set up. Plus personally I'm not a fan of the 360 controller so therefore to em it is not a good gaming machine. I'm also not a fan of Halo.
Do you even have a 360?
The 360 has a very good controller, apart from the d-pad which can be fixed within 10 minutes and is then superior to the (still broken after more than a decade) d-pad on the 'sixaxis'/Dualshock 3.
Contrary to popular belief, Halo is not the only game on the 360. Despite what most fanbois seem to think. I'm not overly fond it myself. I play it now and then but I'm not 'zomg, haloes is best game evarh lolz11@212412'
Plus anyone using windows media center/server is a retard. Linux is far easier to setup and config. It's also more customisable and platform agnostic. Then again, I guess most people can't bothered to spend 10 minutes learning how to use linux and then a further 30 minutes setting up a stable server.

Man, that argument is flawed on so many levels...RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I agree. Why would you not buy non-exclusive titles? That makes no sense. That is literally taking fanboyism to the ultimate extreme.
"waahh, people can buy this game on other systems. Therefore I don't want it. It's dirty. eewww 360 players can play this game ERGH i'm definately not playing it!"
If you wanna be like that then fair enough. I just can't understand why you would limit the amount of games you have access to like that.

Such is the narrow-mindedness of the fanboy. The 360 controller is very good and was even praised as being the best controller of all time by CNET. The Dualshock 3 is a solid controller too, but not light years beyond the 360 controller by any means. Also, the Halo remarks are getting old. You'd have to be blind to not notice any other games on the platform.HoboJoe wrote:No the 360 isn't a good multimedia player. It's a pain to set up. I'd have to agree on the controller being very good. I wouldn't go so far as to agree with CNET's assessment that it's the greatest of all time, but it's still very solid. It's also great to use for emulation since the PC controller adapter is so easy to use.Flak Beard wrote:Such is the narrow-mindedness of the fanboy. On a side note, I hate it when people refer to Microsoft as "M$." So they make money--they also make what are in my opinion very good products and in my experience care about their customers. This certainly isn't to suggest that Sony, Nintendo, or any other company doesn't care about theirs (I've had good experiences with those as well), but I just don't understand the unwarranted hostility toward MS.
