Solar Jetman - I know this game is difficult but there's just so much to do and I'd love to get further than the 2nd level.
Super Spy Hunter - Being a 1992 release, the price is moderate, but it was really a great time.
Yeah, Solar Jetman is brutal but really cool and in a way the spiritual predecessor to Sub-Terrania, a Genesis favorite of mine and another hard as diamond game.
Super Spy Hunter is fantastic. Great graphics, great music, great gameplay. I've always been an enormous fan of the arcade Spy Hunter and Sunsoft turned the core concept into a really polished shoot 'em up. I love it.

The game just had Spy Hunter slapped on it here, it was called Battle Formula in Japan. Good game, but just a title for marketing purposes in the west.

I'm aware. And it worked for me.
I think it's fair to say it was inspired by Spy Hunter regardless. With the power ups even coming from trucks (though you destroy them here).

I'm aware of Battle Formula and that it's more an Americanization of that game, but the copyright screen reads:
There is no trace of SH2 in this game whatsoever. The real SH2 was a messy 3D arcade attempt. So really, they just probably licensed the name for recognition purposes, because it looked so much like a Spy Hunter game, plus Sunsoft already ported the first SH to the NES.

When my launch era NES died a few years ago, I decided that emulation of games for every day play is enough. I've only kept physical copies of the games I considered to be the "Top 10": Megaman 1-6, Zelda, and the Mario Bros series.
A few months ago my step daughter (12) got ahold of one of my NES carts and turned it over in her hands for a few minutes before asking "How do you get the game out?"
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
My current NES library is 165 unique titles (I have multiple copies of some games - notably when I have a CIB version + a loose cart). Not shown in pics: RBI 2 and Popeye
