Stop there. The "sue me" line is what children say. Take ownership for your mistake. You cost someone at least $5 and have shown no sincerity for it. ...meantime you come in here and out a poor seller.

I sent him a PM yesterday apologizing for any problems I have caused. I make one mistake in the B/S/T section on this site and i'm thrown under the bus. What do you mean "poor seller"? Are you telling me it's okay to sell something in auction and then change the price afterwards?

Well in a tight knit and established community of traders, "mistakes" are going to be put under a microscope a bit more than the norm. It doesn't mean you're going to be considered a bad person to deal with from here on out, but it does mean you need to make an effort to take the b/s/t here seriously and be committed to any deals you enter if you want to establish a solid reputation.

Look, I made the mistake of biding before checking my money. Now that that's established, what was I supposed to do? I could either delete my bid or let it go through and be a dead beat bidder. I'd like to think I made the better choice of the two.

You still made a mistake. Stop making excuses and own up to it.

I agree w/ mjmjr on have a dedicated person doing evaluations for "hall of shame" eligibility. I don't think you should have to make a thread to be seen as truthful. What would I have to lie for?

Update: For some reason the links just won't work. You have click on them.

Poor seller = poor seller.

Look, not trying to give you a hard time, but sincerity goes a long ways, especially in a small community. You sent him a PM, and that's good...but that isn't the full story. If you had sent the pm at the time you deleted your post - that would be a mistake, but sincere.

However, you didn't send the PM until AFTER he questioned publicly in the sale thread where the high bid went. To dsh's point in that thread...when you deleted the post quietly, it knocks down the bump (doesn't show up as "recent posts/topics"). Had you simply edited yr post to say, "Sorry, don't have the cash, please withdraw bid" then it stays active...and others are aware and the topic stays fresh, which is very important for a short notice auction. It's $5, yeah, we all get that, what i'm looking for, and I think others are, is just a straight - "I messed up, sorry." and that's it. I see you posted something like that just recently - so that is good to see.

My original post for those that haven't seen...

My replacement came in the mail today, and while it's not nearly as bad as my first one, I'm really not happy with it...

It's hard to see in the second pic, but it's all pushed in.

These "eco friendly" cases are way to weak to be shipped in bubble envelopes.

Again, I love Amazon, but I will no longer be buying such items from them. At least, not until they can be shipped in boxes.

Would you send this one back? It's not nearly as bad as the first one, but it still is bent up a good deal. Obviously, I'm not gonna bother trying to get another replacement from them. If I send it back I'll just ask for a refund and buy it in the store.

Personally, I would. You ordered a new product in perfect condition and that's what you should receive.

It hurts that my experience is so disregarded on the flimsiest of principles. ("What? X person can't do harm. I was never harmed by X!" That idea becomes very scary when applied to violent crimes like rape.) But I also know that the few people who have had negative experiences with him/her/them will not be enough to entirely persuade otherwise. I myself have been tempted to have others purchase hit-japan's items for me, though I won't actually follow through on that.
I have had one experience with hit japan. I got a bunch of Sega Saturn games shipped/packaged very well. I am sorry your transaction didn't work out and meditation was not successful. But when someone with a 98% successful track record makes a mistake, you happen you to be in that 2% of unsuccessful transactions. Comparing your treatment to rape makes you sound like a complete tool.

Just cause ziggy had a bad experience on Amazon I am in no way stopping my shopping there. One time I bought a cordless drill and Resident Evil 4 Wii, they put them in the same box with those air bags. The weight of the drill crushed the case. Just sent it back, and they sent me a refund promptly.

And just cause you had 1 bad experience (which they didn't want to repeat), most people aren't going to stop purchasing from them. I don't see hit-japan blocking you as proof they are at fault or worthy of being blacklisted. It means they don't want to deal with you again.
