I probably could better get my point across by not calling COD a cluster fuck mess but that's just what it's always felt like to me. I honestly am not trying to say my FPS is better then yours either. I am just saying that I like the BF series and the attitude of the long term players better then any of the other shooters.
You are also correct that it doesn't help for me to say everyone is bitching about it. That's just what it sounds like to me since I don't understand why anyone would play this game for anything other then the multiplayer. I just really wish more people would get into it and play it like a team the way it was intended.
All in all I probably could present my points better but it's always a losing battle against the masses anyways. Either way I am done posting on this topic. I'm too old to be arguing on the internet. I hope everyone here at least gives the multiplayer a try and if you do don't forget to throw some ammo and health packs out for your teammates.

Re: Battlefield 3 ?
I enjoyed the campaign. There I said it. It's probably the most enjoyment I've had out of this game so far. The multiplayer is just so frustrating. I personally thought that BC2 was remarkably balanced, every single tactic had a counter. Somebody being a nuisance in a HIND? Hop on a VADS and obliterate it. Pesky Blackhawk using smoke? Use an AT-4 and take it down. Opposing team spawn camping, switch to smoke to by some time to manoeuvre. There was ways of dealing with everything in the game. I don't know whether it was the hundreds of hours I ploughed into it that allowed me to think outside the box, but when playing with my dedicated friends, we won 99% of the time. It was extremely rare that we lost. Now this exact same group of players are getting absolutely destroyed. It just seems that way too many people are trying to play Rush/Conquest like team deathmatch, only concentrating on their k/d and not capping objectives. It's so hard to get a team to work as a productive unit.
Another thing that constantly pisses me off: Just how broken is that damn flashlight? It seems to be an impregnable force field. If somebody shines a flashlight at me I shoot at it. I should be scoring some hits. Nope. Every. Single. Time I'm dying and they still have 100% health. This isn't me sucking, this is some genuine issue with the way the game handles accuracy loss when a light is shining at you. It honestly seems like that scene out of Pulp Fiction the vast majority of times. Also, this is supposed to be the most realistic combat simulator ever, why the fucking fuck does a flashlight blind me in BROAD FUCKING DAYLIGHT? Seriously...

It's a tactical flashlight. It's like looking into the sun.
But yeah, I hate that too. No matter where I shoot the enemy never gets hit. You'd think shooting into the CENTER of the light source would at least wound your target.

Re: Battlefield 3 ?
I have a hard time chiming in on the console multiplayer. The dynamic of the matches I think would be much different from 24 to 64.
I have seen the teamork factor in the pc version. And several squads on the same page working together take oer a battle on pc

Re: Battlefield 3 ?
Ok I lied, I'm not done posting in this thread. But I am done being a asshole about it and I apologize to everyone especially dsheinem for sounding like one in my earlier posts.
I agree the hit detection when shooting at someone with a flashlight seems off, hopefully they address that with a update. I have been blinded by someone coming through a doorway and pumped a few shotgun blast into them without doing any damage. I was heading through the door so I was pointed right at it. I don't see how I could miss with a shotgun from across a room. I have never had a issue with them blinding me from a long distance though. A flashlight will still blind you in daylight if it's close enough.
Personally I don't like to use the flashlight or laser just because it seems to give up your position more then it helps. Most of the time if I am running somewhere and the laser fills my screen red I can hit the floor and find cover before I die. I wouldn't have know they were aiming on me if they didn't have the laser.
It is definitely hard to find a squad of randoms that work together let alone a whole team. I only play on the consoles so I can't even imagine playing with anywhere close to 32 people working together. I have only got to play a few times so far with a working team of 12 and that was so much fun. Well for our team anyways.

There are no realistic land combat simulators. Even Arma's claims to the throne are laughable.
Operation Metro aka Stalemateville btw is the worst map of all time.
At least I'm a pain in the ass for pilots, I've been called an 'AA fag' a few times

Yeah, but given it's pedigree and everything DICE have been saying. The flashlight issue is just a complete joke. Given how the knife was never fixed in BC2, I'm not holding my breath for a fix but it is DEFINITELY broken.
I know what you mean about the AA, ask anyone that's played with me, I'm a fucking magician with the AT-4. I can take anything out of the sky with it. Choppers last seconds when they come near me, there's no way of getting away from it, I'm just that good with the damn thing. I can bullseye jet skis with it, and moving infantry. I just wish there was a weapon that had such a niche skillset in BF3 for me to dominate with. The funny thing is, I platinum'd the Carl-G before I even touched the AT-4. I only picked it up to get stars in it. The Engineer class in BF3 has left me cold, having to choose mines over repair tool? Unforgivable. I just want to go back to BC2

Reading all of this has made me want to buy a couple more copies of 2142 and start playing lan games. So are the destructible environments as silly as people say?

Re: Battlefield 3 ?
agree the flashlight is annoying and very unbalance because there is nothing to equip to counter it. I actually unlocked a heat sensor scope that i thought would fade out of the flashlight and show the enemy more, but i was wrong same thing ... still got blinded.
And i also agree i do shoot where the light is at, but never seems to hit the enemy...wtf.
My accuracy cant be that off consider hes like 3 feet away from me shining that light.
Overall i am annoyed by it but hey its part of the game and its our part to figure out and counter this annoyance.
Not to mention why wouldnt you want to play campaign?? you payed for the game why not try to get the most out of it. Seriously its not horrible and actually fun to play through, because you get to see different areas of the game rendered in all its glory without the confined of what you see in the multiplayer maps.
Treat your eyes and ear to glory of battlefiled3 and not ignore something they put time and effort in.
Its like buying a happy meal and only eatting 60% of it.

The Karkand maps are choke-full of snipers, sprinting in the open is suicide. At least the buildings are destructible in these maps
And now the original maps are unpopulated
