It's only a "rumor" at present, but gameinvestments.com is reporting that the new EA Sports NBA Jam will not remain a Wii exclusive forever, with a possible release for the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network coming at a later date. This would obviously be very good news for those of us who do not own a Nintendo Wii and would like to get our hands on the new game, either as fans of the original series or to see what all the fuss is about, though once again it remains a rumor for the moment. keep your finger cross PS3 and 360 owners.

Does that mean us Wii owners will pay full price for a game that will be half the price downloadable on other systems?

No, you see the Wii owners are paying for the right to play it well into the next decade and beyond thanks to their physical copy.

I've been playing a lot of NBA JAM lately and I was surprise to hear they where bring this title back.

The reason the original game was so good is because of the simplicity factor. You really only needed 2 buttons to get started and a 3rd button (turbo) to kick it up a notch. The fact that it was 2 on 2 was another reason it was so fun and simple to play. Once you start putting 3+ players in then it starts to get too complicated for an arcade title such as NBA JAM.

The game was great because you could pick it up anytime and instantly start enjoying yourself and if you really got into it the use of turbo/special moves and player stats added enough depth to keep you interested.

If they want it to be a success they need to KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!

The fact that it's Wii only sucks... should be downloadable on 360 and PS3.
