Games You Hate That Everyone Else Loves

Oh wow lets see...

Most of these were my ex-girlfriends favorite games, so that may be where some of the hate comes from, but I do have reasons.

Psychonauts - Just seemed uninteresting, it tried to hard to be humorous, and the cast just didn't appeal to me.

FF7 - A generic complaint, If it wasn't for the chocobos, it wouldn't even be FF.

Halo - Enough said.

OoT - Goddamn this game is WAY overrated, It's decent at the least, but damn it I get so tired seeing it as GREATEST GAME EVAR OMGZ.

Disgaea - I loved the plot and characters, the humor is pretty good, but wow, this game is a grinding nightmare.

Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 - I hate the character design, I hate most Disney, so it's not my cup of tea.

Guitar Hero 3 - I somewhat liked the first two, but this one just killed the series completely promising every song to be a master track, and its expert difficulty made me invest in Bengay, damn you carpal tunnel >>

TF2 - Goddamn scouts, why is EVERYONE the fucking scout?

Others seem to slip my mind at the moment.

Disgaea - I loved the plot and characters, the humor is pretty good, but wow, this game is a grinding nightmare.

Yeah, this is pretty much why the only time I'll get a Nippon Ichi game is if I know there is a killer sploit. For instance, Phantom Brave and Disgaea 2 had the Level 3-2 trick (I think that was the name of the level) and the Nekomata trick, respectfully. Less grind, more fun.

Super Mario Sunshine - Just started playing it about a week ago and while I typically enjoy Mario games I hate the camera in this thing. It seems that it's constantly in the way and that bothers me. I'm having to redo things countless times because of it. It also has touch jumping controls. No fun.

FFVIII - I hated the classroom start to this game and never got past it.

Shenmue - This game to me is just boring. I recently traded for it so I could have it in my Dreamcast collection but there is a reason I sold it the first time.

Gran Turismo Series (or anything similar) - Hate the licenses you need to start. I don't want to take a real one and I don't like simulated ones either. I'm also not fond of the whole simulation genre and prefer c(k)art racing and games such as Need for Speed.

Shadow of the Colossus - Art was great but I hated the controls. Having to patiently try to climb up a beast only to fall down moments later is a pain. Either that or I just wasn't doing it right.

There is probably more but that's what I got at the moment.

If you don't enjoy Shenmue, I'd just stay away from all rpg's as a rule of thumb. I could only imagine the suffering that Dragon Warrior would bring you.

Well, even though I don't hate Resident Evil 4, I guess I should have listed it as a game I don't put up on a huge f'en pedestal like some people do...

I just think it failed completely at it's genre. Giving me a ton of guns, ammo and healing items and expecting me to be afraid of slow-moving enemies with Middle Age weaponry isn't exactly how you inspire fear and suspense. Don't get me wrong - Shooting fish in a barrel can be fun, it just isn't exciting. Never before have I played a Survival Horror game where I was constantly leaving ammo and meds behind because I was already over-flowing with them.

I'll disagree. I really enjoy most RPGs but couldn't get into Shenmue when I rented it back in the day.

I love Dragon Quest series, I own Shenmue, and dislike Shenmue I find it really boring. Maybe I did't really give it a chance, but it was very boring.

Quite fine with most RPG's including Dragon Warrior. It was one of the first RPG's I played. Something about Shenmue just doesn't appeal to me. I'd like to enjoy it and I just don't.

There are not really more Scouts that other classes.
