Oh, I don't disagree that it's part of their image. They, to some degree, set themselves up for it. Some of the criticism is fair, and some of it isn't. But that's marketing for ya.
I think the problem is that folks want Nintendo to be all things to all people. And they just don't have the resources to do that. They need second and third parties to make up the difference, and they just haven't gotten that since the SNES days, and even when they did, it didn't go well on the GC.
Short version: We should judge Nintendo on what they do right, and what they do wrong, not on distorted versions of those arguments that play to stereotypes. (Says the guy who pretty much bought everything Nintendo said in the 16-bit wars.

Sure, whatever helps you keep kicking. You think that, and I tend to find what you write pretty much is like stuffing 10lbs of shit in a 5lb wrapper. I guess we're even.BogusMeatFactory wrote:You are delusional and you write nonsensical gibberish, but hey you can't win them all.Tanooki wrote:Sorry you don't agree with the truth, but hey, can't win them all.

Tanooki, your posts aren't legible.
BMF is tired of trying to tell you to speak clearly. It's a classic Tanooki problem, afterall.
Your response is "He's criticizing my opinion, hooray, tit for tat time", you arrogantly claim your gibberish Klingon post is "The Truth", he calls you delusional because you're not even aware the words you put together are illegible. So you call him full of shit? And exclaim "we're even"!?
Are you seriously this immaturely insecure?
Is this an act? Is Ashton Kolchak going to come out and tell us we've been 'punk'd' or whatever?

Bullshit. I write just fine, you just don't like what I'm writing. It's not like I haven't seen this tactic done to other people before and I'm sure I'll see it again as it's a classic annoyance tactic. I'm not a WiiU fan and this is a WiiU thoughts thread so I get the angry fan diversion approach. This place has uniquely been the only board I've ever been on to pull this line of garbage before so I know my writing is just fine.
I'm mature and I'm secure, I just don't like childish insults when someone doesn't agree as it's cheap and petty. (Also that's Ashton Kutcher, and no I'm not him.)

The problem with your writing is that you jam way too many different ideas into a single paragraph. When you separate ideas each into their own paragraph, it makes reading and understanding everything much easier.Tanooki wrote:Bullshit. I write just fine, you just don't like what I'm writing. You probably haven't received criticism about your writing on other boards because most boards feature much lower quality writing. This isn't Neogaf or Gamefaqs. Teenagers don't make up a majority, or even a sizeable minority, of our userbase.

If that's what you think so be it. I find another good solution is to all exercise the foe feature so nothing shows up anymore too. And while I do have accounts at both those sites I rarely if ever post as they're just too much to deal with for very long.
Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
So this all went downhill fast...
Just to go off-topic for a minute, Stealth Inc 2 is really great and playing on Wii U was fantastic. I loved the MiiVerse integration, being able to leave posts for other players and see what tips and tricks they leave behind. Being able to switch between the big screen and the gamepad, or to reference the map anytime I wanted on the second screen, was also a nice addition.
If you haven't played the game yet, I recommend it pretty highly. Nice to see that it's available on a bunch of consoles now - apparently was a timed exclusive on Wii U initially, but I'm glad it will get an expanded audience.

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
All I want to add is thank you for the Castle response. It's such a great show. Apparently it's from Firefly which was also a great show. That's what I get for just looking at the face though I'm pretty sure he's done the same thing on Castle. Nathan is a great actor but my favorite appearance was his role on Big Bang Theory.
As for the Wii U I tried pre-ordering Legend of Kay from GameStop today but apparently the pre-ordering is closed. Hopefully it's not a very limited release.
