You want proof that your post is nonsensical? Here we go.
Tanooki wrote: While I agree with you due to the purpleness of the GC and how the Wii got handled, it wasn't their fault in the beginning.
How did the Wii get handled? Do tell, because I'm dying to know! It seemed to do already, had great exclusive non-nintendo titles, which I can list on and on and on like Zak & Wiki, Madworld, Little King's Story, Resident Evil Chronicles, Dead Space Extraction, No More Heroes 1 & 2 (later ported to other systems), Muramasa, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, The Last Story etc. If you talk about how it was presented, making it an all inclusive console is not saying it is a kiddie console or a hardcore gaming console. The advertising was done brilliantly and it paid off.
Tanooki wrote: It was Sony who played them and used the gaming media and fanboys as their pawns to get the ball to start rolling. All the fickle Nintendo buyers, Nintendo's behaviors in this century in particular, and the media along with mouthpiece blowhard developers all had a hand. Sony originally used their media wing to slam Nintendo as a childs toy because of the carts, the goofy controllers, and because they had prominent games from them and Rare meant for pre-teens(really all ages.) They yet had more T/M games in those starting years than the PS1 had initially, but the slam worked and you can see how all that dried up for like 3 years up until the end with stuff like Conker and RE2. Sony played the old classic Nazi propaganda game well, tell a lie enough times it becomes the truth. They did, it became reality, and instead of defeating that fact, Nintendo instead and their mindless fans molded it even more ever since which also ended up including just wanting to buy their own stuff and snubbing the rest as sales data for their consoles have played out. It's really quite sad.
Do you seriously believe this insane Nazi Propaganda tactics idea? Is 9/11 an inside job? What about the shooter on the grassy gnoll? Nintendo being labelled as a kiddy console was done by gamers more so than the media and Sony during a time in gaming populated by a large teenage demographic. The reality was, Nintendo 64's hardware, what with the huge expense to make cartridges and the difficulty to program for, were what hurt it.

The Playstation had a 2 year head start, was cheap and easy to make games for and sold huge numbers of units. We all know that the more units you sell, the more people there are to buy your games. At that point the damage was done. It wasn't marketing, it was a head start and making things cheap and easy for developers, not this garbage about Nazi Propaganda, being kiddie and some strange conspiracy brought up by the media.

Want more proof that units sells games. Nintendo DS and Wii. Regardless of what you say, there is tons of great third party support for that system beneath shovelware. Don't agree with me, I will just shake my head at you
Tanooki wrote:Bullshit. I write just fine, you just don't like what I'm writing. It's not like I haven't seen this tactic done to other people before and I'm sure I'll see it again as it's a classic annoyance tactic. I'm not a WiiU fan and this is a WiiU thoughts thread so I get the angry fan diversion approach. This place has uniquely been the only board I've ever been on to pull this line of garbage before so I know my writing is just fine.

I'm mature and I'm secure, I just don't like childish insults when someone doesn't agree as it's cheap and petty. (Also that's Ashton Kutcher, and no I'm not him.)
Continue with your line of thought and people will continue to completely disregard you as a person. This has nothing to do with being a fan of the Wii U as your statements had nothing to do with the Wii U. In reality, I am defending Sony here as they tipped the scales with things other than, "Nazi Propaganda," which I stated earlier. If you don't like how I treat you, ignore me, but I am not going to sit here and listen to you spew nonsense and act like it is the truth. I will call you out on it over and over again.

Of course, what do I know? I live in a world of logic and reason. Fuck me, right?

Just to go off-topic for a minute, Stealth Inc 2 is really great and playing on Wii U was fantastic. I loved the MiiVerse integration, being able to leave posts for other players and see what tips and tricks they leave behind. Being able to switch between the big screen and the gamepad, or to reference the map anytime I wanted on the second screen, was also a nice addition.

If you haven't played the game yet, I recommend it pretty highly. Nice to see that it's available on a bunch of consoles now - apparently was a timed exclusive on Wii U initially, but I'm glad it will get an expanded audience.
I got it from that Humble eShop bundle. I have yet to play it. Mostly because I haven't even tried the first yet. (Even though I've owned it for years >_>)

I'm also finally hitting the internal storage limits for the Wii U. Gotta get a HDD going or something.
jmbarnes101 wrote:All I want to add is thank you for the Castle response. It's such a great show.

As for the Wii U I tried pre-ordering Legend of Kay from GameStop today but apparently the pre-ordering is closed. Hopefully it's not a very limited release.
Legend of Kay Anniversary is going to be on PS4 too, isn't it? I never played it when it came out, not very positive on the Microsoft front. But I'm interested.

The gif is from Firefly, that other Nathan Fillion show that nerds don't shut up about ...

By the way, watch Firefly: it's very good. Also Gina Torres!

I'll make this easy. Years ago I actually did care what others really thought on messageboards when I used to administer them and it ended up causing trouble so I stopped caring. I know I write fine, and I also know when someone is just being mean and I leave it at that.

I can very well conceive someone not liking how I write, but again, I really don't care what they think. I also may not like what other people write or how they do it too, but I keep that crap to myself, that would be the mature thing to do. You don't see me trolling with snotty comments or images do you?

The tactic is to attack someone with a petty comment or something of the sort in an effort to change the subject diverting attention and the conversation elsewhere. What I said the other day wasn't nonsense. What I said is true based upon my work history and how I presented it is quite readable. I'll get angry if someone calls me a liar based upon stuff I know isn't, who wouldn't?

The only ridiculous thing going on here at this rate is I'm keeping this conversation going feeding the hate further. I can't make everyone happy and I don't see a point in even trying. Don't like what I say, the block me, as I did the same too as it got boring. Again you're saying what I write is nonsense when I know it is not. It's pretty amusing what I say is considered bullshit just because it's me saying it. Also if you think one person shouldn't have more rights than another here, it's amusing you're taking his side in this as I'm getting trolled and nothing is happening over it. I wouldn't expect that all things considered anyway considering I'm not an old timer here where things would be just overlooked and ignored which is often what happens with boards.

All said if you guys want me gone, get me banned. It's not like this is the only gaming board around, but the maturity in attacking others puts it squarely with the formerly mentioned gamefaqs and neogaf.

Just leaving this here, I am sure that I am ignored for this, but let me be clear.

Tanooki, you frustrate me. I said some harsh things, sure and they may have came from a mean place, but for that I am sorry. Regardless, I can not let your self-assured belief and narrow views go without my comment, because you relentlessly make these absurd claims and berate those that disagree with you. You ignore proof, numbers and facts and for that I am sorry. I am sorry that you can't listen to someone who doesn't agree with you.

I don't hate you, I am not an angry person. Most people would see me as a friendly and welcoming person. Maybe writing things muddles your views and misinterpretation is born from that. Fine. If you want to vocalize your view with me over some voice chat and air out our grievances like mature adults, that is fine to. I won't yell or anything, I really am quite nice.

I am just gonna leave it at that man. Sorry to derail the thread, but I am just so frustrated with this.

One of these posts is not like the other. One of these posts is unreadable.

The fact that you still didn't take what I was saying and actually think about it is pretty astounding.

You're still adamant this is about sides? Seriously, I just want you to write legibly. This last post is exactly how you should write here. Clear, legible, to the point. It makes sense, I can read it and understand your thoughts.

If you still don't understand that it has nothing to do with the actual ideas you're conveying or your opinions, then I don't know what to tell you. Because you just aren't getting it.

I won't talk about this anymore here, sorry everybody for that part.

When a bunch of people are all making the same points about you, maybe you need to consider that you are actually in the wrong.

I do in various places, but when it's clear patent trolling I do not. I'd rather just drop this, block trolls, and be done with it. Do with it as you will as I'm not the one in control here clearly.

I'm more curious as to why Mario Paint hasn't been released with touch pad support yet. Or a sequel of sorts with all new updates sprites and stuff.

I am very excited for it.

I agree about Mario Paint, I loved it on SNES, and on Wii U it just makes sense. I guess their solution was the Art Academy games.

In interviews they claimed they were messing with the idea of a new Mario Paint when they merged it with the Super Mario tools they had.

I for one, would adore a new Mario Paint. I wasted many hours with that game.
