You want the jazz'd up Wii U version and you already bought it, it's an extra dollar. If you don't want the jazz'd up version you simply download it because you already own it. I'm missing the "expected to pay more" part. The last time I checked, development time for something taking advantage of features on the new system isn't free.Opa Opa wrote:Save states? Customizeable controls? Why should we be expected to pay more money for things that come standard with every other emulator??irixith wrote:"The Wii U Virtual Console will launch with a selection of NES and Super Nintendo games, though Iwata noted that it will not launch with the entire library already available on the Wii Virtual Console. The reason for this, said Iwata, is that Wii U Virtual Console games are being newly developed especially for Wii U and will feature the ability for players to save their progress and play directly on the GamePad."dsheinem wrote:What new features are they adding? The way it was stated earlier suggested that they are just implementing a bit of code at the OS level that checks the game and says "if X ($1 paid) then Y (send title to gamepad screen)." What are they adding to the games that substantiate the extra dough?

"By tapping the touch screen (ZL+ZR also worked), you can access the Virtual Console menu, which allows you to create a restore point, reset the game, or change controls. From there, you can alter the individual button mapping for any controller you have plugged in: I tried a GamePad, Wiimote, Wii U Pro Controller, and Wii Classic Controller, and each let me set the function of every button on the device. The GamePad, Wiimote, and Classic Controller all served as the player 1 controls, and the Pro Controller defaulted to player 2."

I'm sure we'll learn more.

I still think it's ironic that "real" members on a retro-gaming site are classified as "next-gen."prfsnl_gmr wrote:EDIT: UPGRADE!!!! 1000 posts! Now - despite joiing nearly four years ago - I am finally a real member!

I think it is funny that you screwed up the quoting on your 1000th post.
After 1000 posts, I don't have to have to get my quotes right ever again.

EDIT: I screwed it up again...but in a different softer, subtler way.

This. In my opinion, no other game in the series has surpassed what Wind Waker did. Day-one buy here, too.fastbilly1 wrote:Day One Buy. Windwaker is my favorite 3d Zelda.
