I really need to get this version already have the original release. Local Gamestops didn't turn up anything.

You can look up the Xbox version or just have you local store call up other stores to find it. Or you could check out the pc version. It has more than the ps2 version.

No XBox here, too many other consoles to support. Although I still get tempted by Steel Battalion. Rather play this game on a console, so I'll keep an eye out for the PS2 version. The OCD collector in me, I just hate the thought of playing thru the regular one and not getting the extra features as I did when I finally acquired PAL ICO.

You sure you don't want the pc version? Its resolution goes up to 1600x1200.

I can understand wanting to play it on a console though. The keyboard is pretty bad so I had to map it out on a 360 controller. However, the game looks absolutely gorgeous. It really showcases what the game was meant to be graphically.

I really don't get why everyone hates on RE5. It wasn't the best game ever or anything, but if you've got someone to play with it can be really fun. And the A.I. isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Sure, of course it can be frustrating at times, but I just couldn't beat the game on Professional with my girlfriend, and yet I was able to do it fairly easily with the computer helping me.

I hate babysitting ANY A.I. characters. Same reason I didn't like Resident Evil: Zero. I don't play squad-based games, like at all.

Same for me. I dislike games where you have to tell the person what to do. Like rainbow six or star wars republic commando. Game over if your squad dies? Not my fault they suck.

 As my friend explained in his rant, "And every time I got a freaking SCRATCH, that lunatic was chasing me around with an herb while I was trying to run away from her AND kill the zombies at the same time yelling, "NO! Get away from me! Don't give me that! I want to save it for when I'm actually maimed!" I swear to god I woulda shot her if the game had let me."

*shrugs*.......Yeah. Really didn't care about the hair change so much. Probably because I had a friend who died her hair every color of the freakin' rainbow.

Usually I agree. Though it didn't bother me so much in RE4. Go figure.

**Just to clarify, I've never played RE5 since the only current gen console I have is the Wii. My sole experience with it is based on several friends experiences and the YouTube videos I watched so I could see what the hell they were complaining about.

The AI is not very good and can be frustrating, but it's very easy to take care of the issues yourself. I would have rather there been no partner system, but still, people make it out to be more of a problem than it is.

Step 1-Don't give her healing items.
Step 2-Be a smart player and don't let her get ganged up on.

Problems solved.

Well in my opinion even without the partner system, the game still would've been generic and still probably dump on the old games. The partner thing definitely wasn't my only complaint personally, it was just about everything. Chris sucks, Sheva was worse, they ruined Jill, horrible inventory system, bland environments, BAD HOLLYWOODIZED MUSIC (considering how amazing the music is in the other games this is a huge issue for me), Wesker became the Matrix and a cliche' Deus Ex machina villain (also felt like there was no point to Wesker capturing all the other viruses in the previous games), they gave zombies guns, no good memorable boss fights at all, game felt half as long as RE4, etc etc etc.
