They've all tried it at one point or another and at multiple times too.
It's always failed miserably.
up until the wii, motion controls have also failed miserably. gaming has made a fine example of the fact that current technology can make past failures perfectly usable.

Nintendo will go to Tape Drive media. I've seen tape drives that hold like 24 Gigs!!

And that's why Nintendo thinks the 3DS will work.
Let's hope they're right.

I really hope the next Nintendo console can actually compete with Xbox 360 and PS3. Not that I care that much about graphics but it would be cool to see a Zelda game look like Mass Effect, lol. And imagine if a Nintendo console could be an all in one entertainment device.
