Not every Italian knows how to make pizza, just like not every Greek person knows how to make a gyro, but you would expect a Greek person running a gyro shop would know how to make a gyro.Jrecee wrote:

First, the guy overcooks the pita. I tell him to "just make mine warm".
Then there's the meat. Three or for strips aren't enough. You shouldn't be able to fully close the pita without a few strips of meat falling out, so I've got to tell the guy "double meat".
Then there's the lettuce. It doesn't belong on a gyro at all. Thankfully he does use sliced tomatoes and onions, because I've been to places that used chopped tomatoes and onions, and it's just not the same in taste or quality. That's one reason I never like Quizno's; they use cheap canned veggies.
