Would an english translation of Nectaris II be too much to ask for? :)
Nectaris has a remake coming out this year:

And just to nit pick - Advance Wars is just the lastest in the Wars series, it goes back to Famicom Wars. But if we want to get really specific, these are all based on Advanced Squad Leader, which is based on Squad Leader...(or so the story goes).

Wow, I figured Nectaris as the father of hexagonal grid turn based strategy warfare games.

The remake of the first Nectaris has been available for some time on xbox arcade. Tried the demo and found that it has none of the charm the original Nectaris has.

Dug a bit deeper and discovered that Nectaris II has an english localization on the horizon for... MOBILE PHONES

Thats saddening to hear that the remake lost its charm, Ill buy it anyway. If it has half of its charm itll get playtime with my friends (meaning Ill be losing alot of battles). But this also means I might buy a mobile phone game. Thanks.

I dont actually know the father of hex grid based wargames. Tactics 2 is the first mass marketed wargame - 1956, but used a square grid.

Found it on the "Verizon Media Store"

Neo Nectaris has also seen a Wii virtual console release in Japan. No word on possible release anywhere else.

And ofcourse my phone is not supported. Thats what I get for using the same phone for five years. Word on the street is that Neo Nectaris will drop on Wiiware by June. I am hesitant to believe it though since Nintendo likes to do whatever they feel like with WiiWare releases.
