Game franchises that needs to be resurrected

since we have a retirement thread, why not a resurrection-thread?

I'll start out small:

the Dizzy series *need* a comeback
Kid Icarus (albeit there were only 2 made)
Road Rash series (nothing quite like 'em these days)
Quake 1 / Scourge of Armagon (expansion) / Dissolution of Eternity (Expansion)
Duke Nuke'm (took forever for it to shut down)
Baldur's Gate series
Fallout 1+2 (don't give me any Fallout 3 garbage/New Vegas crap)
Monty Mole series
Banjo Kazooie/Banjo Tooie (yes, I love Nuts'n'Bolts, but it's not platform exclusive)

now some will say "we have Quake 2-4 +ET" ; yes... yes we do
but those are NOT part of the Quake *1" legacy

Maybe you should wait until fallout new vegas comes out? It Might surprise you.

Your list is too specific, You want Old games how the were... even if they are still making the series.

I wouldn't mind a new Icewind Dale game. I seriously doubt there will ever be another good game based off of D&D though. I like Fallout 3 but another one in the old style would be cool.

I can't think of any off the top of my head, so I'll just amend one of yours. Duke Nukem 2D needs to make a comeback, I never much cared for any of the fps Duke games.

I agree with Kid Icarus and Road Rash.

I would like Lunar to come back and not just remakes. There was a DS game 4 or 5 years ago but thats long enough away to want another lunar game.

I might as well say it before others do. Shenmue 3 needs to be made.

I Think I am ready for a new Chrono game. Darkstalkers its been a while same for Fatal Fury and Last Blade. Alex Kidd has been left for dead years ago they could at least make downloadable platformer games starring him. Splatter House would be awesome in 3D. Streets of Rage as long as its better then the last Final Fight game. Turrican, man the list could go on forever.......
