What is silly about this situation, is that gamestop employees are instructed to never take in games if ANYTHING is wrong with the top of the disc. Surface scratches are ok, and deep scratches get sent in for referb, but top damaged discs are always supposed to be rejected.
Thats how I was trained anyways, could be different now.

More seriously, No, the customer is not always right. This is especially obvious if you work in customer service.
The customer is always IMPORTANT. And you should always make them feel important, but in the end, if your boss decides to side with a clearly irrational customer over you - a person who he has trusted for who knows how long to keep the store in order (and not just pocket all the money in the register), then it's time to look for a new job.
If the customer was always right, then we wouldn't need to have cashiers or security cameras.
