Re: Who All Has A modded Saturn?
I'll admit that I enlisted help from a mod professional. He had great success on the very first try and I was booting up backups of Radiant Silvergun and Shining Force III right away. It was a very beautiful thing. And come to think of it, the installation and soldering of the mod chip looked pretty easy. Nevertheless, having never soldered anything before, I was glad that my buddy was there to handle the melting of metal.
I run the 8/16-bit retro site TimeWarpGamer and if you want to follow the latest updates, check me out on Twitter.

Re: Who All Has A modded Saturn?
I got my first Saturn before I discovered this site. After hearing about all the benefits of modding a Saturn I bought a modded one from a reputable seller online as I was too lazy to try modding it myself.
I've thoroughly enjoyed being able to try before you buy with my mod chip, considering how pricey Saturn games are and it's nice to be able to back up the games I have. My copy of Radiant Silvergun already has minor scratches and I'd rather not use the original disc if I don't have to.

I have a white Japanese Saturn modded to play back ups.

I have a modded model 1 (64pin) and model 2...
I'm looking for anyone looking to sell a broken model 1 also. The ribbon connector (not cable) on mine broke and needs to be replaced..

I never modded one, the swap trick works fine with me. The only problem is with the regions. But I dont care. I cant be hassled with modding a console.
