What should a sandwich have in it?

I have topped a sloppy joe with mac and cheese. So, yes.

Here is a sandwich I made this weekend with random stuff lying around my kitchen:

Rye bread;
Morningstar Farm garden veggy patty;
Smoked cheddar;
Ketchup;
Coarse-ground mustard;
Baby kale;
Egg, ever easy.

I toasted the rye bread, and I "fried" the veggy patty in olive oil before topping it with smoked cheddar and placing it under the broiler. While the cheese was melting, I cooked an egg, over easy. I placed the veggy patty with the melted cheese on the rye bread, and I placed the egg on top of it. I topped it with baby kale, and I spread the ketchup and coarse ground mustard on the other piece of rye bread before placing on topping the sandwich.

It was delicious.

May not want to put the cart before the horse as I have a confession:

Sometimes...I make meatless sloppy joes and use a mixture of beans instead.

However I am making a Philly cheese steak sandwich tonight, so there is some redemption.
