N64 and Goldeneye. The console I've owned the longest, and the game that came with it. I've still got my original save from when I was 12 on the cart.

Game Boy Advance and Wario Land 4
I got a translucent purple GBA and Pokemon Crystal for christmas 2001, but the second game I ever owned, Wario Land 4, has kept me captivated for far longer. Though my original GBA is unplayable at this point (the buttons stick, the screen is in rough shape), my Wario Land 4 cart is still in great shape. The surreal visuals and perfect gameplay bring back tons of happy memories...

Took me a minute to think of a console but I would have to go with my DC. Was the first system I ever had that was brand 'new' and not a couple years old by the time I got it. Tons of great games and even better gaming memories. Haven't had that new console love like I did with my DC since.
Most cherished game would have to be NiGHTS into Dreams. The atmosphere, music, and smooth fluid(with practice) game play wins it for me. Old Skool Sega at its finest.

Both my Super Nintendo and Dreamcast. Super Nintendo I grew up with, and the game for that is Super Mario RPG. I still love that game so much. Dreamcast I cherish because it is still so unique. The games are so bright, and vibrant, and different. Jet Set Radio is the cherished game from it.

Playstation 1, it has lots and lots of great games with a great wide range of variety. And the console had a huge lifespan.

Sega Saturn & Shining Force III because I've had them since they were bought new off the shelf and they come with fond memories of the mid-90's.
However, a friend of mine was cleaning out his closet last week and he called me up to say he found an NES SMB/Duck Hunt cart with my initials scribbled on the back, and sure enough it's my cart from when I was like 4 or 5 years old
Needless to say, I'm happy to have it back.

Do you still have your NES or does it mean you will now have to buy one?

Re: What console and game do you cherish the most, and why?
I would have to pick GBA and the Super Mario World port on it. I pick that because I got it as a Christmas present and it was pretty much the first game I ever played. I spent years trying to find every secret and beat every level (I only used a guide once!) I still play it from time to time because I still haven't gotten all the Yoshi coins. Just the size of that game amazed me and every secret was exciting. I pretty much judged every game based on that standard from then on (is it as long as SMW, does it have as many secrets etc).
I would say Pokemon Emerald is a close second. As for the console that gameboy went everywhere with me, I've gone through every model, and overall I've probably had more games for it then any other system. I still own SMW. I've owned it longer than any other game. I will never sell it or delete my file.

Man, I wish! Pretty sure my Mom threw out my original NES years ago...
My original pack-in Mario cart will have to fill that void, that's all.
I'm rocking a top loader these days.
